Q: Will these separate water from a vac system as well?

The resin trap simply separates and protects your vacuum pump from drawing in whatever you are vacuuming. If liquid comes into the inlet hose, it drops to the bottom of the can - not into the intake of your vacuum pump. Your application simply needs to understand the fundamental function and see if that works for your application. Kevin
