Vegan Milker Soul
I received the Vegan Milker Soul a couple days ago and I am in love. It cost more than I wanted to spend until I realized it would pay for itself by no longer needing to purchase cheesecloth straining bags or purchasing prepackaged nut milks at elevated prices. The "Soul" version of this product came with QR codes (on the box) to download the manual and recipe book that is filled with information about the history of nut milks, the company, the safety measures adhered to in the making and use of this product, and comparative ways to make various milks, which was valuable to me. In response to my inquiry, the company confirmed the metal strainer does not have aluminum, nickel, cadmium, copper, or any other metal except stainless steel. The recipe book reads: "After intense chemical tests carried out by Bureau Veritas and TUV Rheinland in Germany, and by the Plastics Technology Center (AIMPLAS) in Spain, Vegan Milker has been approved to be used with water at 100 degrees (for a maximum of 15 minutes) without any chemical or toxic compound migrating to the food or beverages that are produced." Knowing that brought peace of mind because I wanted to primarily make coconut milk, which requires heat. I successfully made my first batch, yesterday, and it is so good – better than the stores. Something I wondered was if the bottom of the strainer was solid or made of metal mesh. It is solid, which allowed me to use the wooden mortar with as much pressure as I wanted without the fear of damaging the unit. Before using the kit, I seasoned the wood with olive oil, 3x, then another following its use. The wood arrived especially dry and it absorbed the oil quickly and thoroughly. After making the milk (using coconut flakes), I found it easy to clean, which I had been worried about. While flushing it with hot running tap-water, every "flake" dislodged and was easily rinsed clean before finishing with a sudsy brush. I am excited to add this unit to my kitchen and wanted to share what I learned with other potential buyers who may be hesitant due to the materials the milker is made of. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and creates milk that only contains ingredients I choose to put in it. It doesn't get any better than that.

Easy to use, great for cashew milk
I’ve used the vegan milker a couple of times and can say that it has met my expectations. Note, you will need additional tools for success: immersion “stick” blender, small spatula, bottle brush. I recommend not putting anything in the dishwasher. Also, use a gentle sponge and gentle dish detergent (not Dawn). Make sure you lift the strainer up and let it drain by gravity for a while before using the mortar to squeeze the last bit out, or else you’ll make a mess. Use a skinny spatula to scrape out the nut solids and save it and use it for cooking. The bottle brush will make cleanup super easy.I used to use a blender to make cashew milk, which is ok, but it is much nicer using this fine filter, as there is no sediment left behind. I like to add vanilla extract, a bit of agave syrup, and a pinch of salt. Also, make sure you search for different sellers on here, as some sellers really inflate the price. I paid 29.99 for the wood mortar version.

Excellent!!!
I'd love to kiss the person who invented this! I couldn't stomach buying an almond cow machine but was debating it due to being SICK AND TIRED of nut bags. Then I came across this little baby! I made perfect milk in less than 5 minutes literally on the first try. The reviews stating how messy this is DID NOT follow directions. I didn't get a drop anywhere. It works exactly as described. I have a vitamix hand blender and it worked amazing with this. I will look forward to making my milks now instead of dreading the task. I'm just so over nut bags. This was super quick clean up too. The only thing I think they need to change is the pitcher could use a pour spout. Otherwise, this thing is pure perfection. The fact that there's no mechanics to tear up and it was cheap compared to the machines out there makes it a win win. It makes beautiful pulp free milk. No pulp at all!

A good starter device for soy, oat, and nut milks
I was curious about making my own plant milks, so I decided to give this a try, instead of the more expensive appliances that have built in heaters, grinders, and filters. This is simple to use. You can look at some videos on YT with a Danish guy demonstrating the device somewhere outdoors on a Pacific island. You need to have your own hand blender, but once you have done it a couple of times, there is nothing to it. I should mention that you might want to add a little fat and sugar to your recipes, unless you like your milk thin and watery. My only complaint is that it is made of what seems like pretty cheap plastic, so I am sure a lot of the purchase price goes into the manufacturer's profits box. Overall I am glad I got this thing, because it will allow me to save a little money, and to make my own soy yogurt and okara. However, the homemade milks are not as good as the ones sold in supermarkets, so I will probably continue to buy those as well.

Great solution
Affordable, and works great! My husband is experimenting with different plant-based recipes, and he loves this thing! Way more affordable than other plant-based milk makers. All you need is an immersion blender.

Makes milk in less than 5 minutes
This is so easy to use and clean. I’m actually using it regularly and haven’t bought oat milk for weeks. It seems pretty good quality. The plastic jug is ok but pretty average plastic. The jug lid is a weird shape but technically works. I’m not concerned about it though because the filter is the important part and feels solid. If the jug ever breaks I can use any jug with a wide enough mouth instead.

Not exactly the same as what was marketed.
Purchased two classic models with high hopes. Both arrived without the lids shown in the picture, and the mesh is not fine enough, leaving pulp in the filtered soymilk. The process is clean and fast though.

Life saver
Genius invention. A time saver when making nut milks and decreases the mess ten fold. I make nut milks all the time now simply because it’s easier and there is hardly much clean up once done . So pleased with my purchase, wish I found this sooner.
