Bought this for our fun Christmas gift exchange last year and it was a hit. We are all adults, but we had so much fun flinging it around, lots of laughs. The dog got involved in it and he soon took ownership. I heard it didn't survive much longer after that night, but the laughter we had was definitely worth it. It flings quite far too. The sound is hilarious!!

Our cat has gone through a DOZEN of these things so far! I mean this in a good way! These are not intended to be cat toys, but our cat chased after his first monkey in like 2011, and he's gotten one most Christmas's since then. Has has a lot of fun with his monkey! You pull back on the monkey's feet, and as you release him, he slingshots off your hand with a loud AGGGHHHHHH! They are cute as hell, and our cat has come to expect a new monkey when presents are unwrapped. Hey goes to work on them immediately.

It is very cool! Makes loud monkey noise as it flies through the air! The rubber bands inside are very sturdy! The fabric was not sewn great, but excellent toy for the price! My son loved it!

The screaming monkey is absolutely annoying lol. There should def have been an option to turn the sound off. It's a cheesy sound with the china audio quality. The slingshot is cool though.

he tears it up in a matter of minutes. LOLThe mask and cape are torn off immediately. He bites so hard on the squeaky mechanism inside that it breaks pretty quickly. Then off comes at least one of the limbs. Somewhere in here they eyes are gone. Then the stuffing. That's usually when we take out the mechanism inside (which is in pieces by now). This is all within 4-5 hours.He does continue to play with it for a long time afterwards, until mommy gives in and orders another one and the process starts all over again. :-)I would still recommend. It just doesn't last long in its original form very long in our house. The picture is of the last 2.

I received one of these about a decade ago at an IT Fair. It's been one of my favorite gadgets! Believe it or not, even after 10 years, it still works like a charm. I love showing it off when people come to visit. Sometimes when I'm by myself I'll just make him fly through the air and enjoy listening to him! Some time ago I decided to start giving them for Christmas and they make a great present no matter the age of the recipient. They're durable, affordable, and hilarious! Highly recommended!

When it was delivered, we were surprised at how small the monkeys were. They are less than a foot long and look cheap. We were proven right when one of the legs fell of after only firing it once, and we followed the instructions. The screaming part was cute, but not worth the $10 when it’s falling apart after one use.
