Worth it but if you have that extra 200 upgrade and do research
Ignore every else’s reviews I’m a new pc gamer really starting to get into pc gaming I’m sure like you are reading this. This computer will run all games it will run some games in high graphics with a slow frame rate every now and then as long as you change all the unnecessary stuff like shaders and stuff it will run the game beautiful with goOD FPS for a start off I really like this laptop I’m currently running gta 5 on high graphics which is really cool but new titles is where you’re going to have to customize graphics the bad thing is the battery life but you can just play with it plugged in who cares

Decided to keep it cuz of Corona
The battery drains WAYY TOO FAST. The only reason I kept this is I needed a laptop ASAP and everything on campus has closed. Borrowing a laptop isn't an option and i work full time at a hospital. It looks really nice and can be a great machine if only the battery life didn't suck so bad. I've turned off app usage in the background, I dont overcharge it and YouTubed what to do to make the life last longer but the most I get using microsoft edge on one tab is 4 hours. 5 if I'm not using the internet at all. I'm gonna have to buy an external battery or something.

Excellent machine for the price. It will be tough to find one better in the price range
Appending ny review: after about 2 weeks of ownership the screen started jumping up and down on boot. I would have to physically move the screen to get it to stop. Amazon exchanged it, but it really is disappointing. additionally the sound is too quiet for use in a room with other sounds, like TV or something on. I really like the machine otherwise but if I have another issue I will just ask to refund instead of replacementI will start by saying I am going to compare this laptop to my prior laptop which costs 3x the price and is only 2 years old. I dropped it.The Asus is an excellent machine for the price. The plastic is a ribbed hard plastic which doesn't feel too rough. The edges are not too sharp either. The sound is a little low, even at full 100% volume, however it is very crisp and even minor sounds can be distinguished nicely. The display is crisp, but when I compare it to my prior way more expensive machine side by side, you can see it's not as crisp. The color is clean and bright, but you can tell it's not a top of the line screen when comparing it to a much nicer machine.Boot up time is great and feels like it's almost instant. Boots faster than my prior, which also had ssd. This drive is definitely fasterThe AMD processors seems to be fine, but I haven't run it through any processor intense runs and I dont expect to.Video card on the nvidia high performance. I am able to run the graphics at a high setting on my game and it runs fine. However I did see a very slight delay randomly and rarely. it could have been an online lag vs video lag but I didn't notice it on my prior machineWireless connected right away and speed tests were basically the same as my prior. In some instances this one was a bit faster.Keyboard has a little flex to it, but it's not too soft. The back lighting is good.Touchpad is nice has sensitivity options, but its loud if you click vs touch to click. It has options for the multi finger gesture but I turned them off because too many times I accidentally switched. My prior touchpad was not as nice as this one. There is a delay when using the keyboard and mouse which I couldn't find the settings to turn it off. It was for accidental touch. I had to edit the windows registry to turn it off. Once I did the delay went awayHinges on the laptop are tight and should hold up.Power supply brick is large and heavy but was similar in size to my prior machine. The plug for Asus where you plug into the laptop makes me a little nervous as its skinny and feels like it will be quick to snap with an accident.Overall the machine is well worth the price. its is not a top of the line gaming system, but the inexpensive cost makes it an excellent choice for me. although the display is not amazing, it is nice and if it was not next to a machine that costs three times as much, I probably wouldn't have noticed. I have not experienced the wireless issue that others have posted but I did have similar issues on my prior machine where it would randomly disconnect and the wireless would disappear. it leads me to believe it could be something with windows and not the laptops specifically.Overall I think it would be difficult to find a better option for the price.
