TEAC LS-101 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker System, Cherry

Bought this to go along with the stereo I bought, connectors were wrong for stereo. Still setting in box. You would think that since I ordered the stereo from same maker, that they would work. DISSAPOINTED

I think these are a real value giving the competition in this price range. I think it is decent enough for most adults seeking a speaker to deliver music at a sensible volume level. It is fine for PBS broadcasts and other talk radio programs. I think its decent for adults not needing a hi - fi speaker for dynamic music such as rock and rap. It does a decent job articulating jazz and light classical at moderate volumes. I think it would fit nicely in a business environment too. Mine sends new age music to my clients. I like the speaker's connection to the amp or stereo receiver: it is a 5 way binding post -- great options for different terminators such as banana plugs for easy wiring. I do not understand the previous reviewer's one star complaint about wiring this speaker-- its not spring loaded terminal as many cheaper speakers have for say children or lower end home theatre use. This speaker comes with more modern ways to hook it up that is seen on more costly speakers. Bare wire is still the default option if other more modern terminators is not desired.
