Perfect
It is so easy to pop my 11 week Cavapoo in this, where she sits and watches the world while I walk. I put just a small blanket under her, at the base of the bag; I wouldn't want something firmer as others have mentioned. She can feel my hand on the outside of the bag, giving her an occasional squeeze of reassueance. The gap left between the two buttons is a good distance for encouraging her to stay in, plus the short lead to secure to her collar is long enough for her to turn around. We walked 3 miles, attracting a lot of smiles. My arms were free to do my shopping and filling my rucksack.I suspect she'll fit in this for at least another two months. Of course, as she walks more, she'll be in it for shorter times, but I foresee that it will give me that freedom to do longer walks than she could otherwise have managed.Praise for the thick, adjustable straps. It really is the best. Look no further.

Comfortable carrier for puppies
We've been looking for a suitable way to take our puppies out, as they have to be carried at the moment. Our puppies are Labradors and one weighs 4.8kg and one about 5.2kg.We saw these carriers and thought they looked comfortable and indeed they are.The shoulder strap is wide and very padded, which makes them sit well on your shoulder. The bag element has no structure inside - so no baseboard or stiffness in the sides. As others have done, we padded out the bottom to give some thickness and structure to the base for the puppy to sit on. In our case a folded washable puppy pad which would also help absorb any accidents whilst out.Getting the puppy inside can be a bit tricky, but if you lay the bag open on a table and then get the puppy to sit on it, you can then loop the shoulder strap over yourself and slowly raise off the table. You have to hold the sides as you take up the weight of the puppy as they will fidget a bit. You can then adjust their position in the bag; I preferred to have a higher front and lower back (against my body) so made sure he was sitting more towards me. This keeps them nice and safe and reduces the puppy wanting to leap out. There are two button & loop mechanisms, so you can adjust the opening on the bag in front and behind the puppy. These are quite attractive to puppies so you have to make sure they do not try to chew them, however once outside they are more interested in what is around them! There is a short strap with a clip which you attach to their collar or harness. Our puppies were wearing both and we used the harness to clip them in as this seemed a safe option and allowed the puppy more freedom to look around. There is a small unpadded zipped pocket which is attached to the shoulder strap. It's great for your phone, or poo bags etc. We chose the waterproof version - I did not spot it at first, as all the icons just seem to show colour choices, but check them all as some have slight differences which is how we spotted the waterproof one. When walking you have to find a comfortable position for the bag against your body to minimise the puppy being jiggled around by your legs. The puppy will also move a bit in the bag; the one I was carrying remained seated and quite forward whereas the one my partner was carrying ended up in a leaning back position. This annoyed him after a while so we had to reposition him - not easy when they are in the bag and wriggling! All in all I think these bags will work fine for us. They will soon be able to go out on a lead, but as they will tire quickly (and you should only walk them for 10 minutes initially) we will take the bags with us so we can carry them when needed thus allowing us to go further afield.

good product
used with a 2kg Cockapoo pup. very comfortable to wear for longer periods, pup fits it well ( expect upto 6Kg would be fine ) and can keep his head out and body in. addition of a blanket inside give more support if needed. zipped pocket ideal for small lead, small bag of dried food and play toy.Used for carrying pup around all day pre-jabs and carrying on extended hiking walks, ( can also help hide pup temporarily if you need to do a quick shop! ) and he seems very at home. Need to be carfull that all legs and tail are inside the bag otherwise is possible he can scramble out if left unbuttoned

Adequate..
I bought this for my 9 week old puppy so that I could take him out when I walk my other dog. My puppy was only 9 weeks old so has not had the second inoccualtion so I'm having to ensure he is kept away from other dogs and from ground where other animals/pets have frequented. The carrier is quite comfortable and is well padded and the pouch at the front is a nice touch, I keep the treats in there which keeps the puppy focussed. I alternate the carrying with my wife so the adjustable strap is very useful however I do find it tricky to adjust as the strap is padded and quite awkward to feed through in my opinion. My puppy which is a Tibetan Terrier, weighed 3.9kgs at the time of buying this carrier, he sat quite awkwardly in it the first time, he then slumped down to a lying position with his head poking out the top. This was great, the second time he was far more interactive he stayed sitting however he did keep trying to get out, lifting both front legs out of the enclosed part of the carrier. ther are two buttons at the top of the carrier which I think are to keep your pet inside however this did not prevent my puppy from being a jack-in-the-box. There is a metal hoop to connect a lead from your dog to the puch which is also a good idea, however I did need to constantly hold my puppy underneath the carrier and also inside the carrier to prevent escapes! My puppy was not overly excited or restless he just kept lifting his legs out very easily.I think the carrier would be ideal for the stereotypical handbag pooch or dog that can sit very still for a period of time, however puppies are very unpredictable so will need to be held closely at all times. I feel that I would be unable to carry my puppy and walk my dog myself which was the idea of the carrier however it does mean more walks accompanied by the wife which is a bonus.

Ideal for our pup
This has made carrying our Staffie pup around before she can mix with other dogs so much easier, especially as the strap is wide and padded to distribute the weight. I especially like the clip which I attach to her harness to keep her safe, and it is deep and comfortable enough for her to fall asleep in, even as she is growing. She is now 10 weeks and she still fits. I'm sure I will find other uses for this once she has grown out of it. Lots of comments on it practically too.

Very comfortable and soft
The thick strap makes this comfortable and my Yorker fits so good inside. I love the pocket too because it holds your phone and poop bags
