Hinged Knee Brace for Men and Women, Knee Support for Swollen ACL, Tendon, Ligament and Meniscus Injuries

If the standard pull on brace or tubiwrap doesn't work (medline 2inch tube wrap works great on big knees & is disposable), this one is fantastic for really getting the right amount of pressure or support in the right spot.Really, REALLY good adjustments & compression with a sturdy hinge system. I was stuck using braces or wraps every time I wanted to walk after necrotizing fasciitis & surgery to avoid another Near Death Experience tore up my knee. It was so painful to even movey leg in bed at first. Slowly with stretching and more and more use it began to heal and work again. This brace was the final component.Using this brace my knee felt secure enough to walk longer and do activity that I could not do before. Arthritis was bad & other problems galore but with daily use walking with this brace and stretching with it on too I no longer need anything on my knee.If you feel like nothing else is helping enough tey this one.

Perfect for recovery.After a knee injury, you want stability, structure, and pressure around your knee. This was perfect for the months after a dislocation and torn ligament.The brace has an open area behind the knee to avoid friction and sweat buildup, and is a lot more comfortable than most braces.I have seen some reviews saying that this is a complicated brace, but I would disagree. I would say that this brace is the next step in recovery after fully immobilizing the joint. Perfect for when you are trying to regain mobility, but don't have full range of motion or strength.If you are recovering from injury or surgery, I would highly recommend! If you don't have severe knee issues, this may be too much structure and support for you.This brace will wrap around your leg and fasten in the back with velcro. Then, there are two velcro straps in the front and back to give additional support.The sides have a kind of support beam made of metal or dense plastic that has a hinge allowing you to bend your knee. After my initial injury, this support on both sides of the knee prevented additional dislocation throughout physical therapy and other aspects of my recovery process.I'm still using this intermittently when I know I'm going to be more active, and I feel very secure.

I am on the hunt for the perfect knee brace. This one came very very close. This is brace #2 and unfortunately this one will also be returned. My issue with it is size related. I used their size chart and ordered a medium. For reference, my thigh is 18” and my calve at its widest point is 15”. As you can see in the photos, the brace fits my thigh perfectly but my knee is swimming. Even on the tightest setting the brace is too big for my calf and therefore does not secure my knee. I think this brace would be awesome for someone with a calf larger than mine.Pros- Breathable material, if fit correctly, I think it would stabilize your knee well, seems to be well made but I can’t comment on durability without being able to use it. The hinges provide a very specific kind of stability. I found the part of the brace that fit to be comfortable.Cons- Sizing was the main issue. The small is too small for my thigh but the medium is too large for my calf. I am going to say ease of use is a little on the harder side. There are a lot of straps which are a good thing for securing your knee but they definitely take some getting used to especially if you’re putting it on alone.

This has been my favorite knee brace. The metal rods on the sides help prevent my knee from twisting. I tore my meniscus and this has helped me walk without any extra support. I highly recommend (and even bought a second one).

A good brace but runs slightly small.

i got this for my 88 year old mom to support her knee.It works and helps....It seems to be the padding and velcro straps are a little all over the place and hardto stay in place, especially for an older person who is hurting..I'd like the padding under the straps to be a bit more superficial.BUT once in place it has definitely provided stability and helps.

I was walking with two friends and three dogs. We were totally being entertained by the zoomies that the dogs were having on the beach, until they all slammed into my right knee! Turns out I tore my MCL. This is now the third brace I have tried, and by far the best one! It gives me the best support and compression, and makes my knee feel extremely safe and secure. And on the top there is a soft but firm round elevation that sits above the kneecap, and on each side there are two removable metal hinges that bend with your knee. Considering that my MCL was torn on the left side the metal brace gives me that added security if it was hit. It also has these two squiggly plastic lines on either side of the brace that prevent it from slipping on your skin so it stays in place. Out of all the knee braces that I tried, this was the only one that had no covering over the back of your knee, I like to have the air pocket better! And to top that off they have two compression velcro straps at the bottom below the knee and again at the top above the knee.The only downside that I found was the size and measurement chart. I measured 4 inches above my knee and got a measurement of 15 1/2 inches, so I ordered a small. When it arrived I found that when you fasten it behind your thigh, you could not fasten it tight enough so that the prickly part of the Velcro was not against your skin which is very irritating. I fixed that problem by returning the small and ordering the medium which is now the perfect size!

Well made and comfy... just what I was looking for!
