Makes stapling easy!
There are times when there is no better thing to attach things together than a staple gun. Sadly, the most common form of them is HARD to pull the trigger on and has a tendency to try and bounce up if not help down properly, leaving the staple partially exposed. This stapler, however, changes things up, so instead of pulling up on a trigger from the back end, you push DOWN on the FRONT of the stapler, making your pressure trigger the staple while simultaneously pressing firmly into the surface to be stapled. The result is FULLY stapled staples and no pain in the hands.Trust me, if you need to do a lot of stapling, this is THE staple gun for you.

Easiest staple gun to use
SO, my wife has small hands and limited muscle control. She wanted a staple gun for her work as a teacher and could not grip / squeeze the one at the school. 20 years ago, I bought her this one from SEARS. During COVID, she never brought it home and wanted to keep doing things with a staple gun like making signs for her kids to put in their yards. The other staple gun we had (same one) was at my work so I kept having to bring it home for her to use. When I found this on AMAZON I just bought two more so she could have one at home and I could leave one in the tool box instead of asking her where her 'home' staple gun was.Instead of having to squeeze it, you can just put a little body weight into it and staple away. Even will do small T50 brad nails.

Very Pleased with Results
I bought this Craftsman model to replace the "Powershot" model I had which broke after a few years of use. The Craftsman is a much better tool, easier to use, drives the staples with more force, and was easier to maneuver in tight spaces. I used the Craftsman to staple deer protection wire fence to wood posts, with good results. The staples were driven all the way in so no need to go back and set each staple with a hammer, which I had to do with the Powershot. Hint: try to position the staple so that it goes into the softer "summer growth" part of the wood instead of the harder "winter growth".

This is a great tool for installing outdoor lighting for the Christmas season
This is a great tool for installing outdoor lighting for the Christmas season. The design puts the pressure where it needs to be in order to drive staples accurately. I had a earlier version of this stapler that I used for years until I lost it. So, I was glad to see that they are still available. I would have a much more difficult time accomplishing a number of tasks using a conventional heavy duty staple gun.

... upon the idea that it was supposed to be easy to pull or push the handle
I purchased this stapler based upon the idea that it was supposed to be easy to pull or push the handle, well, it is somewhat easy to do, but it can not staple into even a soft yellow pine artist frame wood. The staples only go in so far, but not far enough to do anything except make you get a hammer to finish the stapling. The staples, no matter the brand, Arrow or the Craftsman don't go into to soft wood with this machine. It stops going in leaving a 1/16" gap! If you are stretching artist canvas, this is purely not going to work. This product fails to do what it is advertised to do, STAPLE! The stapler cost to much for what it didn't do, staple! I had and still have a 30 year old heavy duty Arrow stapler that I added a little lithium grease to and it sends the staples all the way into the same board that this stapler won't do. It cost to much shipping to return the useless junk, so, it will be a shelf decoration in my studio with as sign on it that says, Craftsman stapler, don't buy it, IT WON'T STAPLE! I've said my piece.

This is GREAT. Relies on your body weight rather than grip ...
I wanted one of these for years but couldn't justify buying another staple gun while my old one was still working. Finally it gave out on me. This is GREAT. Relies on your body weight rather than grip strength. Feels cheesy because the casing is plastic but it's holding up to all sorts of abuse just fine.

Great Stapler
Have had two of these staplers for many years and love them. We wore them both out recently. These new ones are identical. Glad to have replacements. My husband doesn't have any problem with regular staple guns, but I do. Not enough strength in my hands. While these do take some strength, they are much easier for me to use than the older, regular style. Plenty of "power" too - we just used them to staple the wires for our garage door opener into the wood. No problems. I like the fact that you can use different lengths of staples in the same staple gun, as well as brads.

A well designed tool that will become indispensable.
First of all, I paid full price for this product. As a matter of fact, I paid full price for three of these staple guns. Every time a friend of mine uses it, I have to buy myself a new one. This staple gun has a number of prositive attributes. First, it shoots various size staples and brads. Second, it comes with a complete assortment of the items it can shoot. Third, and most important, is how it works. Instead of pushing down on the back of the gun ,(away from where you want the staple) you push down directly over the staple. That way you get much better penetration of the staple into the wood. I don't know why all staple guns aren't made like this? I highly recommend this to any handyperson or contractor.
