Love these tubes.
I have been floating the river for about 10 years now. The rivers in Colorado are ice cold and have lots of rocks. I first bought this tube (in a different color) 8 or 9 years ago and it is still going strong! The nylon cover now has snags and a few very small holes but that kind of wear and tear after that many years is expected. I bought another one for myself and two more for my family about 3 years ago and it is the exact model above. I love them. My friends are all jealous. Finally, I bought two more for some friends as a gift! The tube itself is heavy duty-- it won't pop easily (none of mine have yet) and the nylon cover protects from rocks. Also the cooler is great! If I add very little ice, I can actually fit 12 cans (6, 2 deep)in the cooler and there is a drink holder as well. If you want more ice, less cans will fit. The cover does shift and block the drink holder, so I make sure to hold it in place when I am inflating the tube and that works well. Overall this tube is well worth the money and I plan to continue buying more.

It’s okay
Way too fat. The picture looks like it’s nice and wide, but you blow it up and it expands up and not out. The cooler in it is nice though. It serves its purpose.

Not exactly what we wanted
This is mostly what it said it was but we were using as a display tool for work. The pictures did not show the big Sevylor logo on the bottom of the canvas outshell.

Looking forward to it!
This came super fast. the box how ever was damaged but the tube seems to be fine. I have not had the pleasure of using this yet as I reside in a state currently blanketed by snow but we going tubing every summer and so it will be fun. Seems made very good and will review furhtur this upon using this product.

Envy of the Hooch
Great, fun tube. I love the cover on it and definitely helped protect from the rocks in the river. The greatest thing about this was the 12 can cooler in it. WAYYYYY cool! I have another double with a built in cooler, but since I was traveling solo this time I took this one (actually my son's) and became the beverage keeper for the 3 hour river ride. It was roomy and held 12 cans and some ice on top. If you don't want an extra cooler to be responsible for then this is the way to go! All in one!

Great idea, poor design execution
After doing a lot of research online to find some high quality lake/river floats, I finally decided on getting 2 of these Covered River Tube with Coolers. I'm semi-satisfied with this purchase, but there is certainly room for improvement. POSITIVES: 1)Thick plastic material seems durable for rocky river trips 2)Lock together clips on both sides for linking floats together 3) Has 2 air flow valves so it inflates and deflates quickly/easily 4)"Storage Compartment" is perfect size for holding 9 cans and a 1/2 bag of ice. NEGATIVES: 1)Nylon only covers 1/2 of tube so the white part of the tube can get really hot 2) Nylon cover shifts & covers up over the can holder when your body moves 2)Cooler has zero insulation and the beers got so hot we both decided to quit drinking within about 2 hours of the time we got on the river. The word "Cooler" is a misleading description - it should be called "storage compartment" because it does not help keep anything cold 3)When float is inflated, the can holder inflates too and expands to fill its own space making it difficult to take the can out and put it back each time you take a drink 4)The float does not have a back/neck rest 5)The bottom of the tube is covered but is very thin and has no padding making it easy to bruise your tailbone on rocks/rapids during river trip 6)Neon yellow is only color choice. 7) There are no handles to assist with carrying the float once drinks are placed in the storage compartmentThere are not any better similar floats available, so I'll be keeping these. But instead of river use, I think they would be better for hanging out around the boat on the lake so you could just grab a few drinks at a time and keep the rest in a real ice chest. Hopefully they will come out with an updated model soon to correct some of these annoying design flaws. The creators of this float has great intentions, but it seems that the engineers failed at executing it well though.Next time I use the floats as coolers, I'm going to try putting a small insulated lunchbox cooler inside the compartment or putting a blue ice pack in the compartment in addition to a 1/2 bag of ice. I will probably mostly use the "cooler" to store other items like a drybox, money, camera, cigarettes, etc. in the future.

Worked well for my daughter to float down the river ...
Worked well for my daughter to float down the river. It even held an adult. I will be buying more of these for the whole family to float down the river with. The personal cooler that's built in the side is also handy!

Tubing
Bought this item to go tubing down a river and it was awesome. The liner is sturdy, enough where you can stand in the middle. As for the cooler, you can definitely fix six cans in there and then some. Say a pint of something. The only thing is that you need a separate pump to fill it, a wide mouth one. Overall great!
