🐖 Ginsters Large Sausage Roll – The Pork Wellington for the People
Ah, the Ginsters Large Sausage Roll. 130g of golden, flaky patriotism wrapped around a suspiciously satisfying core of seasoned pork mystery. It’s not just a snack—it’s a warm hug from Greggs’ more adventurous cousin. In posh households, this might be called a Pork Wellington and served on a slate board with a sprig of rocket and a knowing wink. But we all know the truth: it’s a sausage roll, and it’s glorious. The pastry is robust enough to survive a day in your bag, a night in your glove box, or an accidental sit. The filling is meaty, peppery, and just vague enough to keep things interesting. Is it gourmet? No. Is it dependable? Like a Vauxhall Astra and twice as comforting.Best eaten lukewarm at a service station or defiantly cold in a camping chair, possibly while shouting at a seagull. I once tried balancing it in my mullet for storage. It worked—briefly.

Tasty
One of the best sausage rolls you can buy, occasionally you can get a hard bit but I can over look that as they are very tasty. In fact you feel like you've eaten a meal having one of these and a mug of tea.

Ginsters Large Sausage Roll, 130g.
A filling enough sausage roll but otherwise an unremarkable item; it's slightly larger than the average, but the meat content (at 27% pork) isn't outstanding and although it's tasty enough it isn't much different from other brands or the own-brand products of Morrisons and Asda.A bit pricey – if you are buying from Morrisons, check out the prices of their in-house baked sausage rolls if they have that facility.

One of the best
One of the best sausage rolls on the market. Almost as good a Greggs. What's more they taste great straight out the fridge unlike other slightly cheaper sausage rolls.

Crispy, flaky hot and enjoyable.
I placed these in the halogen oven for 17 minutes on 180°, and they was very enjoyable. The pastry was nice and flaky and crispy. The sausage meat was nice. Overall very enjoyable and would buy again.
