Is this loose tea leaves or tea granules? i purchased kericho in kenya & it is more granular than the loose tea i usually get. this tea is fantastic!

How fresh is the leaf tea?

Initially it did not taste as fresh or flavorful as the previous batch but I think this can also be the difference between growing conditions. My solution is to steep for 1 minute in a small amount of water and then add the remaining water for another 2+ minutes. Tastes delicious.
