Q: Has anyone used this with heat tranafer vinyl for small projects like a shoe or coffee mug?

CLOVER MINI IRON is designed for pressing seams, ribbons, hems, corners, point and other activities such as quilting, applique’, paper crafts etc.… but many crafters use their creativity to extend its use to other applications.The use of Mini Iron in Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) on Fabric is definitely common and proved to be successful, provided you use the right HTV Brand and type that could be applied at a temperature that the mini iron can handle. For other supports such as coffee mugs, there is no a clear answer to the question on if the HTV can be applied successfully or not. The results reached by the crafters that tried it vary from failure to full success. The only way to figure it out is to try it yourself.I hope this answer satisfy you. Q: Is this good for applique work? I was hoping to find one for just that purpose. Something i can use quickly and small enough for my small pieces. TIA

I use it for machine applique with my embroidery machine. the machine does a placement stitch, then I put on my applique which has a fusible on it and iron it on while leaving it all in the hoop. This little iron works great for this. I also used it for applying iron-on bias tape to an applique project. It worked great for that too.

This probably isn’t helpful but it gets FRKN HOT, it doesn’t give you an exact temp, just low or high but low doesn’t get hot enough IMO so I’m always using high.
