Typical Tamiya quality, but some things to note...
This beautiful kit is typical Tamiya - cleanly molded, accurately scaled and well engineered. Included in the kit are two wheel options (only one set of tires, though) with different brake discs for each, as well as two different rear spoilers. However, there is no engine. The hood is molded to the body, and the engine detail is basically the bottom half of the drivertrain molded into the chassis plate. Belly pans are included in frosted clear plastic. The decal sheet is small and includes the usual badges and dash instruments. Window masks are included to aid in painting the window frames. All in all, the kit goes together without much fuss, thanks to Tamiya's usual attention to engineering details. It's a good looking display model of one of Japan's most popular supercars.

Fun kit
Everything went together easily just like every other tamiya I've ever built. Highly recommend this one.

Great look, but mold had imperfections.
I've had nothing but outstanding experiences with Tamiya kits, so I was surprised when this one had issues with its pressure mold. The front and rear bumpers (possibly bent up in shipping, who knows) required a lot of clamping in place, taping, pinching etc. to get them to line up with the body, and even then they were still not perfect. They required some putting and sanding to look acceptable. Also, getting the wheels on was surprisingly difficult, the poly caps are just a little too tight for the pegs they go onto. Not to mention you're trying to push the front wheels onto a rotating hub that's only held in place by two small nubs of the upper and lower controls arms...That being said, I love the final result and this is a great kit. But it does some have teething issues.

Directions were easy enough to follow but some of my pieces didn’t fit properly, like the exhaust on the undercarriage and the splash plates didn’t want to stay on either
