I had taken the pictures of the box because it is in its original taped sealed box and didn't want to open the box and take it out for more pictures. I thought whoever bought it would want it brand new in box.

Q: Could you use this to melt glue or wax in?

I would say yes you can. It gets very hot, so you would have to find the right temperature to keep it from smoking.

Q: what temp is the lowest setting? I need a device that goes as low as 130 degrees

It does not appear to have an actual 'setting'. What I mean by that is that although there is a knob (without temp markings), instead of controlling the current, it controls a timer, and the timer pulses the power on and off, on more often the farther it's turned to the right, less often turned to the left. This makes setting a chosen lower temp nearly impossible, but at least it means it's not on full bore all the time when you turn the knob to the left. So cooking something like eggs is a hit-or-miss proposition, at best. It also means there is no way to tell what temp you are shooting for, and no way to have it set consistently to a temp. It's like fishing with a slingshot in the dark. Or shampooing a porcupine. It's also as poorly designed as can be. It's cheap, but at this price it should be much better. Don't buy it.

Q: I'm looking for something to safely melt wax, at a pretty low temp. Does the 7" have a gradual temperature control or simply three settings?
