Some people think big Some people think huge Then theres...Meat Loaf While other artists may have tried to match his scale and sound, so far none have even come close. Meat Loaf certainly requires no introduction, he burst onto the world music stage in 1977 with his landmark release Bat Out Of Hell, which transformed him from a stage actor into a rock n roll icon. This album has sold more than 43 million copies worldwide and is the third biggest selling record of all time - 23 x Platinum status - and it still sells in excess of 200,000 copies a year. Following Bat Out Of Hell came such masterpieces as 1981 s Dead Ringer, 1984s Bad Attitude, and the Bat Out Of Hell sequels, 1993 s Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell and 2006 s Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose, not to mention 2010s Hang Cool Teddy Bear. The 11 concert Guilty Pleasure Tour of Australia and New Zealand was an enormous commercial success generating revenues estimated to be in excess of $8m and this DVD celebrates the global phenomenon that is Meat Loaf! Length 2 hours - Sound Dolby 5.1 Shot in HD with 15 Cameras 35 min Documentary Bonus with brand new Meat Loaf Interview

Disappointing
I bought this DVD because I was blown away by the Melbourne concert DVD. This is a major disappointment. Production values are low. Lighting was muddy and murky. Meat Loaf has replaced half his band and he doesn't showcase them the way he did in Melbourne. Soundtrack is muddy as well. I know that he and Patti Russo can't help getting old, but at some point they need to realize that they aren't even the middle aged rockers they were before. It's sad to see your heroes grow old.

Do cd s wear out ?
Always enjoyed music by Meatloaf but after watching the “Guilty Pleasure Tour” at least 20+ times I m having to order another in case the one I have wears out. Meatloaf is Meatloaf and always will be, The Neverland Express is one of the best back up bands I ve seen, and I would marry Patti Russo tomorrow.

Just OK after a long wait
I had preordered this DVD at $9.99. On release day it suddenly went "temporarily out of stock" and never came back into stock after a few months. It then showed up here on Amazon by a different vendor at a higher price. Even though the item ships via Amazon they said the price was out of their hands so I ordered at the higher price. Once it arrived I watched it. I have been a Meat Loaf fan since the original Bat Out Of Hell many moons ago. I have seen him perform live on four occassions and own most of the other DVD's put out. This one is entertaining but certainly not his best (or worst) DVD. This show comes off kind of lifeless and the new female singers and backup singers aren't as good as the previous ones.

He' not what he was but...
Even the most avid Meat Loaf fan (guilty) has to admit that his voice is a mere shadow of what it was in his prime. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed this concert. The Neverland Express has got to be one of the tightest back up bands in the business. Patti Russo is still dynamite, and despite what other reviewers have said, is in the entire show. Meat Loaf is the consummate showman and clearly loves his fan. My only regret is that as yet, I still haven't gotten a chance to see him in person. After watching this video, would I pay my hard earned money to see him in person? In a heartbeat.

Good Meatloaf show
Really enjoyed this concert, with Meatloaf and a solid back-up band and singers. His best songs performed theatrically.

not the best quality of dvd
very poor recording - meatloaf was good but the quality was poor for the price of the dvd - if you were at the concert you will love it but otherwise - save your money.....
