This cage fits the Sony RX100VII perfectly. It doesn’t obstruct the bottom speaker, and you can access the battery and SD card compartment without needing to remove the cage. Everything remains fully accessible while mounted, including the pop-up flash and electronic viewfinder. The only minor drawback is that it slightly obscures the top half of the P-A-S-M mode dial, but it’s still usable and doesn’t affect functionality.The included wooden side handle not only looks great but also adds a much-needed grip to this compact camera. it's removable if you prefer a sleeker profile. Overall, this is a well-designed and good-looking cage that enhances both handling and usability without getting in the way. Highly recommended for any RX100 VII owner looking to upgrade their setup.

I am very content with this small rig, it fits quite firm on the RX100 VII and considering I have large hands it makes my grip so much easier. I was worried that the battery slot would not allow for easily access but it actually opens smoothly!

The media could not be loaded. This camera cage was extremely practical. It is made with great quality, the metal cage really makes me feel secure with it holding my camera. The grip is great for using this camera as its traditional point and shoot, but I purchased it because I wanted to vlog with this camera. It had 2 different mounts for receivers or other clip on devices, and many different holes to screw other accessories on. I was able to screw my tripod onto the cage, and I still had 3 other holes where I could attach a shotgun mic or even a ring light. I had access to all of the cameras functionalities, but depending on where you put your clip accessories, or if you are using both clip attachments, it can be hard to change from different modes like Manual, Auto, video, portrait etc. Other than that, this cage is phenomenal AND fits in my camera pouch!!!

Makes shutter and power button access a bit difficult but did add a cold shoe.

This Smallrig fits snugly with my Sony RX100 VI. The Smallrig cage wraps around the lens mount of the Sony RX100 VI. It comes with an Allen wrench to tighten the cage to the camera. The Smallrig wooden handle provides extra grip that is comfortable and makes it easier to use the camera as a handheld device. I often attach my camera to a tripod and attach a mic and a light to the Sony RX100 VI. The Smallrig cage has several cold shoe mounts for accessories. At first, the cage made my Sony RX100 VI bulky and reduced the aesthetics, but I find the camera to be much easier to use with the Smallrig cage on.

I am so happy I got this for my RX100V7! Fit is perfect and solid. I was concerned about restricted control access from some of the reviews I read here but can say that in my case no restrictions were observed. I did add a stick-on shutter button which fits perfectly. I also wasn't sure if I would like a wood grip, but it feels great/secure in my hand and I have warmed up to it. SmallRig makes all top-shelf stuff and this cage is no exception to that. It does add some heft and size but makes up for it in strides in functionality and security.

I wish I liked the camera as much as I like this product.
