Battery life isn’t so great! But everything else is topnotch

Would be a 5 star review if the screen didn't flicker often times throughout the day. Take this into consideration before you buy this laptop, it is a major inconveniance. Checked the drivers, and the Lenovo vantage app as well which says everything is up to date.At this price point, there is no excuse for this to happen. Would have returned if wasn't in need of immediate use.Edit: Should also mention that have to constantly keep the charger plugged in. Battery lasts 2-3 hrs on full charge. Brightness aggressively scales down from the top.

Laptop came dead on arrival. Two things didn't seem right. First, packaging was suspect. Lenovo shipping box which in my experience has been used for shipment from factory was placed in larger box with insufficient packing material, possibly allow the contents to shake during shipping. Second, Lenovo box had Titan Tek security seal over the Lenovo seal, suggesting the unit had been opened for "*RAM & Hard Drive Upgrade". These two issues probably resulted in the DOA. Followed factory reset options, but laptop would not boot despite there being power. Got power indicator keyboard backlight and fan activity, but no beep or screen.

***Update***Thanksgiving Day 2020Still happy with the overall performance of this laptop, however, I had to drop a star because, as another reviewer stated, the screen does flicker, go completely black for a second or two and then pops back on. The battery life is non existent if you have the screen bright enough to see what you're doing and the lighted keyboard is a joke. The CPU/MEMORY/HARD DRIVE/GRAPHICS CARD are all working well and I have ran an HDMI cable to an old tv and use that as a monitor and and hooked up a backlit bluetooth keyboard, so basically the laptop is now a desktop. I do like and occasionally take advantage of the fact that it is very portable.January 2020Very happy with the performance of this laptop. Everything was exactly as described by the seller.

I received the item, it appeared as dead on arrival.Screen didn't show any signs of life. I contacted the seller support but that didn't help.I returned the item, seller issued full refund, there were no issues with that.I would suggest seller to test your customized items more carefully before sending to customers.Starring 2 not 1 because I didn't have issues with refund.

The media could not be loaded. From day one I experience glitches with the screen. I live in Panama and although I have warranty there is no one to talk to. What can I do with this?This is not the laptop I was expecting to get for $ 2,000. I have a 4 year old ThinkPad that works much better.

I had Microsoft surface with less memory but that is faster then this ThinkPad. I was using thinkpad when it was with IBM and had many laptops from Lenovo since then. I was expecting high response time but unfortunately with high ram and cpu its just slow like average pc.

UPDATE: computer blue screened and now completely doesn’t work won’t turn back on past the boot screen and nothing fixes itWay too many issues for a 2 thousand dollar laptop...Today was the last straw when the hard drive randomly corrupted when it was just sitting there untouched while I ate dinner.The speakers are garbage and make a rattling noise at max volume I have to use a Bluetooth speakerSoftware issues forcing me to restart the computer you name it. Hasn’t properly worked since day one but this was the last straw I had to factory reset my computer on a school day when I need my computer for school because it stopped being able to access filesUPDATE 2: I have had to replace the system board AND the hard drive trying to fix these issues. The hard drive was replaced today and so far the speakers seem to be working much better but usually it takes a while after resetting everything before it all is randomly ruined again so it seems to be fixed and if I don’t update this then that means all problems have been fixed.UPDATE 3: (this is just a few days after update 2) sound is now broken. Tried reinstalling software doing updates scans nothing works. Research says it’s a hardware issue. A NEW HARDWARE ISSUE SURPRISE SURPRISE. At this point I want my money back this computer is trash. Would not recommend at all. I’d give negative stars if I could. Sound is completely broken nowUPDATE 4 (days later again): every time the computer falls asleep it blue screens on wake up. Then it wouldn’t start and kept sending me to recovery screen so I did a reset from that screen and am now stuck in a blue screen loop where it restarts the pc and blue screens on start up. I’m getting a mac after this. I’m defeated I quit. This laptop has ruined my life school wise. Has been nothing but a stressful experience from the start. Nothing but a headacheNOTE: whoever is opening these to put the extra 16 GB of ram in it is replacing the hard drive with a cheaper brand “crucial” and that’s where the issue is... don’t get this off of Amazon build it on the website man. Save yourself the trouble
