I see people posting about it changing color, how do I prevent this from happing

Bought this for my husband and its never changed color. He takes it off every night and doesnt wear it in the shower.

Are the jump rings on the clasp soldered?

No they are not but the jump rings are substantial and seem pretty strong. I’m someone who likes everything soldered!
