Can a Singer 7285Q be mounted in a sewing cabinet? It doesn’t look like there’s a place to use a mounting screw under the machine.

The Singer model 7285Q sewing machine does not have a mounting bracket in order to secure it to a cabinet. Because it cannot be secured to the base of the cabinet, you will only be able to sit this machine in what is called an airlift cabinet. An airlift type of cabinet allows you to raise and lower the machine rather than flipping it up and down.

What type of thread is used in this machine?

The type of thread used with any sewing machine, including the Singer Patchwork model 7285Q sewing machine, depends on the type of fabric.
