Once you fall down the "coffee rabbit hole" and buy a good flat-burr grinder you soon realise that the grinder will need cleaning. About once a quarter (3 months) seems to be the recommended interval.I bought a grinder and then decided to send it back due to use issues. In order to clean this I bought a package of these Urnex Grindz cleaner pellets as they were recommended by the grinder manufacturer. They are easy to use. Just add 30 - 40g into the hopper and press go. As far as I could tell they worked. The only residue was the residue normally left in the grinder. In normal useI would recommend using a sacrificial 30g or so of coffee after cleaning the grinder. This will purge any retained coffee and Urnex cleaner too.Safe, natural, easy to use and effective. A great solution to keep your coffee grinder in tip top shape.

It’s expensive for what it is (ground corn husks reshaped into pellets) but it does work very well to eliminate residual coffee bean oils that jam my burr grinder. I only need to use it once every several months. All-in-all, a good product.

I've had this on a quarterly auto order for the past 3 years. It works exactly as stated AND made in the USA. My method is roughly once a month, I use a capful in my Bodum Burr Grinder. A few seconds on medium grind then a few seconds on fine grind. Take it apart and use the air compressor gun to get the rest out. Finally, throw a handful of beans through on a fine grind to clear out any dust. I usually clean out my trusty little Farberware 4 cup percolator with a 50/50 vinegar water mix at the same time. Yes, it's pricy but I'd rather pay the extra for something made here than something foreign. You gotta pick and choose your battles in life and this is one I choose.

Does okay with coffee grinder not attached to a coffee maker. Time will tell, as the coffee grinder has not been cleaned in a decade.

This product works like a charm. I did not know this existed until I was faced with a coffee grinder jam. I did a Google search and this product popped up and was recommended by many. The Grindz team should work with coffee grinder manufacturers to put a coupon or ad in the product box so that people know this is available to keep these grinder machines clean and functional! I was ready to buy a new coffee grinder (after only 3 months of use)!

I thought this was one of those gimmicky hipster things, but wow, it actually works as advertised.I put a tablespoon of these chips in about one every month or two, and my grinder works like new again.

It cleans my hand grinder well, and I’m sure it would work just as effectively on an electric grinder. Does a great job removing old coffee residue and keeping the grinder in top shape. A solid choice for regular maintenance.
