I really like this book
I really like this book. It's much bigger than I anticipated, and has a lot of animals. There are 4 signs per page and 12 pages total. Some of the signs are two part so there are two kids doing each part of the sign. My daughter really likes the book. I've included other sign books and put them next to the small panda bear panda bear because I think the Eric Carle books are a good size refrence

A colorful and fun book of animal signs
I purchased this adorable sign language book for my daughter when she turned one year old. She loves animals, loves reading and has picked up some rudimentary sign language so I was hoping that this book would be both fun and educational for her. The book is a little bit larger than most of her other books, which is useful when viewing the sign diagrams. It has large sturdy pages that she enjoys turning herself. The illustrations are adorable and full of bright colors and hold her attention brilliantly. I like to sit with her and it is fun to look at the animals and try to sign them together. My daughter mostly focuses on the animals, rather than learning new signs, probably because she is so young. Overall, my daughters happy and I am happy with the book and the customer service provided from the seller. I would recommend this book to others.

A lot of signs to learn
This book was very helpful in teaching me to do animal signs so I could teach my toddler. My son is 20 months, and I've had this book for about 3 months. He's picked up about 5 or 6 signs that he can do on his own, and several more that he recognizes. The book is much larger than I expected, and has more signs than I was expecting. It is a board book, so it stands up well to a toddler. The instructions for doing the signs are clear, and they give you an index of hand shapes on the back so you know what they are referring to.The signs include pets (cat, dog, fish, lizard, snake, hampster, bird, etc.), as well as animals you might see at the zoo (zebra, tiger, elephant, penguin, etc.), and animals you might see outside (spider, butterfly, duck, bee, bear, squirrel, rabbit, etc.). The only animal it was missing that we commonly see in our neighborhood is moose, but I learned that sign somewhere else (and my son uses it regularly).I would recommend this book to anyone teaching a child ASL, especially since toddlers really react to animal signs. Dog, cat & lizard were some of the first signs my son did! (We have 2 dogs, 2 cats & 2 lizards as pets).

Great book for reading and demonstrations of animal signs!
I love reading this book and so does my daughter. She brings me the book and we practice signing together. I wish they included more aquatic animals is my main feedback.

Great book
My daughter, 2 years old, loves this book. She enjoys trying to imitate the movements and really loves animals. The explanations and graphics work well enough to figure the signs out

Fantastic & enjoyable
We LOVE this book! From infancy to now 4 years old, these books have taught us all sign language. Perfect to teach your little ones & perfect for them to learn as they grow. Easy instructions for everyone. Fantastic way for learning the signs & animals! We love it, this book will stay with our family for many years!

Purchase a different sign book
The pages have too many signs on them, too cluttered for my daughter to focus on

So excited!!!
I have been wanting to teach my daughter sign language ever since she was born, but I could only find books that were in American sign language.I am so please I found this book! Unfortunately it is a little late, since my little girl is 13 months old already and I have tought her some signs that I managed to find on google and youtube or even made up myself, but I am so please I can now teach her even more signs! She just hit the age where she is interested in animals, so this is fantastic! The pictures are mostly clear on what the sign should look like, but there is a short descibtion next to the image, too. The bright colours and fun designs are appealing to my little girl. I am going to get second copies of these books (My first signs and my first animal signs) to give to our child minder who has never looked after a child who uses sign language. This book and the others on its range are excellent value for money!

A picture book for sign
This is a lovely, large-sized board book with attractive pictures of animals accompanied by children making the appropriate sign for each, as well as a brief written description of the action. Each double page spread has pictures of 8 animals/signs and they are broadly divided up by type e.g. domestic pets, farm animals, minibeasts, etc (although there are no headings). An ideal starting point that's produced in the perfect format.

Toddler Signing
I believe it is important to teach toddlers how to sign when they are still trying to learn to talk. This helps to ward off frustrations in communication for them as well as for their carers! All of the Sign books are well done. Having signs for familiar words really gets the attention of a little one and they start making the signs too!

Great but......
Excellent books, seems easy enough to understand how to perform the signs BUT some pages were stuck together and caused slight damage 😕
