I love this pencil!
I bought this as a 'luxury' item. I had searched for something like 'nicest mechanical pencil' and found this. While the feature of turning the lead a little every time you pick up the point seems a little gimmicky, it actually does result in a pretty consistent line. The feel in the hand is okay, I do wish it were a little heavier. But for the price, it's not like you can expect it to have been machined from tungsten carbide bar stock or something...I like that it has a large enough grip area to be comfortable (I have big hands) while having a long enough point reinforcement to get into small places and accurately track against a straight edge, et cetera. I use this for creative writing and for technical drawing (usually tracing objects for reverse engineering, et cetera). I'm actually thinking of getting a second one to keep on my desk as I carry my original in my bag for use out and about. While there are less expensive options, this one still doesn't seem outrageously priced and I think provides a good value. It is tough enough to stand up to daily use. While the eraser is sized for people who 'don't make mistakes', it appears replacement eraser inserts are pretty readily available. If you erase a lot, though, get a separate eraser.

Hey Mechanical Pencil Nerds! Get this!!
I’m a self proclaimed mechanical pencil nerd. The Uniball Kuru Toga Elite is hands down the best mechanical pencil I’ve owned in a long time. It’s well balanced with a heavier, more substantial feel than other plastic and metal pencils. The Elite has a nice sleek design too. The NanoDia Pencil Lead is a big bonus, allowing for very smooth writing with less breakage or smudging.Highly recommended and for the price, just unbeatable!

Horrible eraser but writes beautifully!
This is probably the best mechanical pencil on the market. I gave 4 stars because the eraser detracts from the whole item, the pencil deserves 5 by itself. It’s got a good weight in my hand, perfect length makes it comfortable to use with my long fingers. The auto-advancing feature for the lead is brilliant, every time the pencil is lifted from the paper, just enough lead is advanced and if it’s not long enough there’s still manual capability. The lead itself is in middle range for hardness and doesn’t snap easily if there’s too much pressure while writing. Now about the eraser. It’s waaay too soft and skinny. The erasers on regular pencils are firmer and bigger than this one. I’ve tossed the extra ones and use a regular big pink eraser.

Sudoku friendly
Other reviews disparage the rotating lead feature. I found it solved the exact problem I found with regular and other mechanical pencils.I thought the dinky eraser wouldn't measure up - to all my Sudoku erasing, but, surprise, it does.

Ditch your 0.7mm and get this hassle-free 0.5mm instead
Delivers exactly what is advertised. Smudge proof, leads don't break and are always sharp! Amazing! A fine point without the hassle. Awesome.

Uniball Kuru Drafting Pencil
This was a gift for my engineering son for his detail work on plans and schematics. He says the point is nice and never breaks but the lead is smooth.

Works very well. Very precise
Works really well, love the pencil sharpening. Very comfortable. Weighted well. A little pricey. Easy to loose or slip out of pocket, recommend a pocket protector for use. Lost mine in a couple weeks 🥲
