Q: Am I missing something? When I turn the coffee power button on - it just blinks and does not heat up.

I would check the settings for time, grind and brew strength. If nothing works, refer to the manual. When I set mine for delayed start time, I just press the "auto" button twice, the clock shows up in the display, and I wake up to perfect coffee. It's probably something simple - I had to play with mine for a bit when I first set it up.

It grinds the beans when you program it.... just make sure that you have the setting correct to grind the correct amount of cups!!

Q: What is the grinder capacity 1/2 lb beans?

The grinder has settings to grind for 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 cups of coffee. So it will grind per the setting. For 12 cups I do use about a 1/2 c of coffee beans.

Q: does the grinder shut off after done grinding. and then start brewing?

Thank you for your question. The grinding motor will turn off once the desired amount of coffee beans have been ground. The brewing process will then begin once the grinding has stopped.

Loved it as much as I love my coffe in black😉

Loved it as much as I love my expresso it successfully replaced my all in one espresso -latte -cappuccino maker as I am only intersted in my black coffee had to use a step down voltage for American / Canadian use in India ...that cost me as much as the machine cost but the output is a perfect cup of joe each time , moreover I knew it before I bought it so no hard feelings for that😉 ...grinds beans to a perfection and is quite user friendly even though with a professional touch !!
