Comparing the Cluci and UTO bags
I am obsessed with these backpack purses! I now have one for every season. My first one of a different design was the dark grey and since I already posted a more detailed review about that bag in general, I thought I would take the opportunity to compare the UTO backpack and the Cluci backpack.I had bought the UTO in red because this same version of the backpack with a flap was not available in a red or purple by Cluci. I had wanted to switch up the design and color for the holidays, so I took a chance and ordered the UTO bag since I was curious how it would compare anyway.Let me just say that both brands offer nice bags for the price point, though Cluci is now the more expensive bag at anywhere from $5 to $10, give or take. It will come down to little preferences as to which brand or bag you prefer. I will admit that I haven’t used the UTO bag for very long so I cannot comment as to the durability, but each one of the Cluci bags I have used for about three months and I haven’t had any problems with the bags at all. Zippers, seams, vegan leather, and interior lining have all held up very well. Here is where my personal preference comes in, and you will ultimately have to decide what best fits your needs overall. The UTO bag is quite a bit smaller than the Cluci bag. I don’t know if the pictures accurately show it, but, the UTO is a lot more compact. In fact, I had to leave out a few items that I usually carry with me because they wouldn’t fit properly. For most of my outings, the more compact UTO would do just fine. However, I love the space in the Cluci bags. I can bring books or even a binder if needed. If I have papers or mail I need to carry, they will not be crammed into the space. If I stop at the pharmacy or a small shopping trip, I can put those into the Cluci bag too. I had tried to fit a book into the UTO, and really the only thing that will fit with my other stuff is a smaller mass market paperback. Anything bigger is going to get damaged or bent due to the tapering at the top of the UTO. I have included pictures for reference. Overall, I prefer the Cluci bag for the size.Upon first impression out of the box, I preferred the Cluci bags over the UTO. I think the Cluci brand has a higher end look and feel to the bags. There had been absolutely no odor upon opening the Cluci bags, but there was a slight odor/chemical smell with the UTO that has since dissipated. The hardware on the Cluci is nicer, and my favorite part of these bags, the front zipper pocket is larger on the Cluci and can hold more items. It is my go-to pocket! Also, the backpack straps are reinforced on the Cluci bag…something that is missing on the UTO.However, I think the interior is a little nicer on the UTO bags. The liner isn’t as loose, it is more fitted and it has good interior zippers. One of my gripes about the Cluci bags is the straps. I do like the UTO straps better. They are soft, comfortable, and I don’t struggle with them. Sometimes the Cluci straps get twisted up in the bottom loops which can be annoying. I also didn’t like how much they slipped in adjustment, until I discovered that if I moved the slider onto the vegan leather part of the strap, they no longer slipped! Now I never have to worry about it. They stay put. However, the seat-belt material portion tends to still get twisted up at times. I’m also not a big fan of the messenger/shoulder strap on the Cluci bags so I use different ones. Not a deal breaker for me though. Both UTO and Cluci have decent water bottle holders as well. Even though the UTO is packed more full and more compact, I had no problem fitting a water bottle in the side pocket.Overall, if I had to choose one bag or brand, I would go with the Cluci backpacks. They are nicer in quality and appearance, and the size is a better fit for my needs.

Exactly what I need!
I'm not a purse type of gal but I do love cute backpacks. This came packaged very well and one day early. It the faux leather feels soft and not cheaply made. Looks like enough room to put my and my sons iPads, phones and chargers plus my wallet when we go out.

Nice bag or a good price.
I always carry a backpack for a purse; it is so convenient no matter what I am doing. This bag is kind of big, but better bigger than too small. It has a ton of pockets to keep all my little things organized. The color is pretty. The side pockets don’t have any closure, so I am a little nervous about using them...I’m waiting for stuff to fall out. The front flap has a magnet closure that is hard to secure. The rest of the pockets are room and have zipper closures.I’ve only had it for a couple of days, so I did not rate the durability. We will see how it holds up.

Loved it
I loved it, I am very happy with my purchase. I needed a comfortable and light weighted bag with so many pockets to carry my laptop and everything to university and it has all of them beside that it is very fashionable and pretty!!

Perfect for Office Use
I got this for my laptop and all the accessories/crap I have to lug back and forth from the office. My laptop, cords, mouse, planner, notebook, papers, pens, etc. all fit in it perfectly with extra room if I need to bring anything extra. I like the option of a shoulder strap or back back strap. It’s saved my shoulders and arms. The leather is really soft and the bag itself is super cute.

What a Classy Bag!
After reading the reviews, I was concerned about the size, color, and zippers. I noticed in the pics that some bags look HUGE, and while others, not so much. This is a mid-sized bag, not large at all, in my opinion. The color looks just like the picture. I love it! I did not want a bag that was baby-pink. This suits me well. The zippers are great! I wonder if placing heavy items in the bag adds stress to the zippers that later cause problems. I am going to be careful how I handle the bag, if I happen to pack a large amount of weight in it. As for the slipping straps, I put the ends of the "leather" into the buckles, and now they are not going to budge for anything. Problem solved! For those who want to maximize strap-length, that may not be a solutions that works for everyone. Someone mentioned adding a stitch or safety pin, otherwise. I agree that having a place to tuck the straps out of sight, or if they were made to be removable, would be nice, but the aesthetics of the bag are enough to overlook that. It is very attractive. Overall, I was really hoping I would love the bag when it got here, and I do! I may purchase a second one, in another color, to use for another purpose than I am using this one for. I recommend this product to others.

OMG in LOVE...
The media could not be loaded. Get it! It is so cute and can be used for more than a laptop bag. I got the purple which took a few extra days to receive but was totally worth the wait. Is gotgeous!

Me encantó!
El material y los cierres me parecen de excelente calidad. Me gustó muchísimo! El color es igual al de la foto. El tamaño esta ideal para llevar ropa para una salida de fin de semana. Tiene muchos cierres y compartimentos que ayudan a tener acceso a ciertos artículos que necesitas tener a la mano. Me encantó!

I don't know what to think...
I feel like I would be able to find the same bag in a teen store. I don't think that if I saw this in the store that I would pay that much for it. It's an ok bag.. not leather, with no structure. It's just a bag nothing special. I would have paid $45 happily, not more.

Classy and practical
This is a second backpack I purchased in the past few weeks. The original one was a Calvin Klein and had to return for many reasons (see review). This one is soft leather-like look, roomy, and easy to retrieve your items. I love the light grey as it goes with anything and looks dressy as well as casual. I haven't worn it yet but looks comfy and convenient. It's half the price of the Calvin Klein one.You won't be disappointed with this backpack.Hope this review helps. Thanks

Twisted straps and low quality
This purse is a cute timeless style. It’s a good size and has lots of pockets, too many pockets even. My issue is the quality of the material, it’s not durable at all. And the straps came twisted and you can’t detach to untwist so I won’t be using it. I should have returned it when I first realized the straps weren’t sitting right.

Gorgeous, want in more colours!
This backpack/purse completely exceeded my expectations. The material is soft and supple, there are a quite a few pockets, I love that that there are multiple ways to carry it, and the two-tone grey is perfeft for both casual and professional use. I bought it to carry my laptop around in, and if I had a 14” laptop it would have fit easily!! It’s a 15” so while I can do the bag up, it’s tight. And it’s not padded of course - I had intended to add a sleeve but that’s a no-go for how tight it is right now. That’s ok though, I knew I was taking a chance with a 15”! Buy this bag!
