Alter Eco - Organic Royal Black Quinoa - 14 oz

Quinoa is a great addition to the diet of people who choose to eat healthier. Black organic quinoa adds color and flavor to your meal. In addition, Nutritionists say darker color foods provide greater health benefits. Yet, they can be hard to find in mass marketing food stores. Alter Eco provides the smart consumer the opportunity to buy fairly priced wholesome products that promote a sane lifestyle and opportunity to feel good about improving yourself and others.

Be sure to rinse it very well in a sieve before cooking. I find all quinoa can sometimes have a little extra grit in it and the rinsing usually gets rid of anything that shouldn't be there. I cook it in my rice cooker on the white rice setting and it comes out perfect.

This is excellent quinoa. I found the flavor of black quinoa to be somewhat different from the white, but it was pleasant. My opinion is that unless you specifically want this color for some reason, it's not worth going out of your way to buy black quinoa. I would not buy it again unless a recipe specifically called for black quinoa, and even then I probably would not. It's just easier to get the white stuff and I'm happy with that. If you want black quinoa, this is well worth purchasing.

This was an add on product so I purchased just one. I have yet to use this product, but I feel that it lacks integrity because when you examine it closely, it seem to be a mixture of red and black quinoa instead of just black quinoa. I'm kinda disappointed because I don't feel that it is what I wanted and I paid good enough money for better!

I found I did not like the black quinoa. Prefer the white. The black is to fine and sticks between the teeth worse than millet.

This quinoa is very good! It's much crunchier and nuttier that others i've tried. I prefer the fluffier kind like the rainbow (which is awesome and my fave) but this one is good if you like it's texture. Alter Eco is by far the best brand!

Wild rice .....black quinoa ! Love the texture .... Best food ever ... I put this in everything .... My morning smoothie .... Soup at lunch and plain or in a salad for supper !

It is not easy to find good quality organic black quinoa but this Alter Eco is a gem and extremely yummy! We highly recommend this brand.
