Washes Clothes Cleaner Than My Full Sized Maytag!!!
This was purchased to use with my North Trail 21RBSS travel trailer, which is a 22 foot sized trailer. Between uses, it resides inside the small shower stall in the trailer's bathroom. When it is time to do laundry, I either use the little washer inside the shower, and let the dirty water and rinse water drain into the grey holding tank, OR I set it outside on our little portable camp table. We tend to 'boondock' (dry camp) off the beaten path, so we normally do not have a sewer hookup when we camp.If we use the washer outside, we drain into a 5 gallon bucket. We always use the same biodegradable, eco-friendly detergent that I use when backpacking. https://www.amazon.com/Sierra-Dawn-Campsuds-Biodegradable-Soap/dp/B000LDMQ7G/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Sierra+Dawn&qid=1606073320&sr=8-3The actual amount of detergent used is tiny. With the agitation-action of this washer, very little detergent is needed for clothes cleaning. This not only reduces the amount of biodegradable soap in the water, but it lessens any potential lingering scent for animals to pick up on if the water is disposed of into a dug out hole, away from the campsite. (Yeah, yeah. . For those self-righteous and scientifically illiterate know-it-alls, who want to fit-foam in knee-jerk reaction about dumping that water, please attend a remedial Environmental Sciences 101 class before commenting).I limit wash loads to 6 pounds of minimally water absorbing clothes, like shorts, socks, t-shirts, etc. For highly water absorbing items, like towels and sweats and long pants, I will eyeball the load so that about half of the wash tub is filled with items to be washed.Keep in mind that this is for camping-travel use, which means that it is really easy to do washing every two to three days of fewer items, rather than saving up a large pile of dirty clothes over a 5 or 7 day period for a trip to a laundromat. Or go to an RV Park laundromat and wait your turn for a scheduled time slot.It was simply amazing to see how clean our clothes would get in the short, timed wash cycle. If you watch how vigorous the agitation action is during a wash or rinse cycle, it becomes clear how such a thorough 'clean' is achieved. Within the first minute, the water, for a load of clothes which has no really visible soiling, turns gray then brown in color as dirt and oils are removed. The first time using this machine, a couple of older t shirts came out far brighter than they had been when I had packed them for camping. Dinginess was gone and they looked closer to their original new colors. The same thing with my lightweight fleece thermal layers, sheets, pillowcases, zipoff pants/shorts, etc. Here's the only downside, which is manageable and not really a big deal - - - for t shirts, especially, I learned to use the 'Delicate' setting, along with a shorter timed cycle for both washing and rinsing and centrifugal spinning. It keeps the collar area from becoming a bit 'relaxed' from stretching. This is never an issue for other clothing items. I will do all of the t-shirt garments together separately from other clothes for a wash.We found that we have the best results for most clothes, with the shortest time-frame, by doing a ten minute cycle for washing, followed by a five minute rinse cycle, and then five minutes in the centrifugal spinner compartment. For t-shirts, I will do a 5-5-2 (minutes) cycle using the Delicate settings.Since I do wash when I am doing other chores, like cooking or trailer cleaning, I can set a cycle timer on the machine and then go about other chores while each cycle does its thing. The centrifugal spinner section will take sopping wet clothes, and get them to a 'damp-dry' state. Drying time on a line is FAST, especially if it is a bit breezy or sunny outside. If conditions outside do not allow for drying, then I use a retractable clothesline inside the shower stall and open the overheard skylight a bit and turn on the vent fan. https://www.amazon.com/Little-World-Retractable-Clothesline-Adjustable/dp/B07CV6P1K7/ref=sr_1_8?crid=C05196OQ0G2Y&dchild=1&keywords=rv+clothesline&qid=1606076503&sprefix=rv+clot%2Caps%2C227&sr=8-8When I need to use the shower, it is a fast and easy task to move this washer unit out of the shower and into the living space, and out of the way. While I love this little washing machine for RV camping, I can see this also being used by a single person as a regular washer in place of even a 'compact' style residential washing machine IF they are willing to do washing frequently enough to not have a pile of dirty clothing, towels, etc.For use as a residential washing machine for more than one person or a small family. . Nope, not for me. It would take far too much time, constantly washing clothing due to the volume restriction to a wash load, to make it a real viable option.

Over a year and still works great!
I purchased this in April of 2020 because of the Covid pandemic. It was a used one for only $54.20. You can see by the date of this review I've had it well over a year. This machine is awesome! It's light weight, cleans extremely well (actually better than commercial machines) and is gentle on delicate fabrics. It does a fair job on the spin dry cycle, about as good as an older top load washer but not as good as the newer front load machines. Honestly I wish I'd known about it sooner because my clothes have never been cleaner...REALLY.Helpful hints: I place it in a bathtub and presoak clothes overnight to loosen dirt. I use ONLY a teaspoon of laundry detergent. After rinsing three times I put an empty medium trash can between it and the faucet before spinning. The slight downward slope of the tub (towards its drain) keeps the washer against the trash can keeping it stable and quiet while spinning.

works great!
Easy to use just need to bare with the spinning. I had no problem with washing its really strong it cleans the laundry good. The only problem is that u have to hold it when using the spinner for drying (put a thick rug underneat so it wont run much), it does not dry the clothes fully it makes your clothes from soaking wet to damp that u can air dry quickly. If you washing big loads for multiple times i suggest to give it a break after 3 times of use of wash and spin,it can overheat and stop working but nothing to wory happens to mine i just wait to cool down and plug back in and it works again.

Very portable.
I used mine today for the first time. I really like the little machine. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because you have to remove the wet clothing in order to insert the spinner. Even with that exception I feel that it was worth the purchase. I have a small 18 ft travel trailer and this is a great addition. Very convenient.

It serves a purpose
It will be okay for light washing -- undies and light tee shirts -- on camping trips. Not sure I want to use it inside the camper, since you have to dump the water several times and that will fill the holding tank too fast. Plus, the way it dances, it could scratch up the counter or floor, I suppose. There are those select campsites where you can discreetly dump outside as long as you are using bio-degradable detergent. Or, you could dump it into your "blue tank". If it will keep us out of laundromats a little longer, it will be worth it! Don't believe that you can wash as much as it says at one time, tho.

Better than nothing
Not bad for the money. It gets the clothes clean but the spin cycle isn't that good. It's no problem if you have the extra time for drying. I hang my clothes to dry in my apartment and it could take more than twelve hours for towels to dry due to how damp they are. This is good for a single person like myself, would not bother if I had a family.

A must for apartment dwellers
This is my second basecamp washer. I live in an apartment and loath the laundry room that everyone uses. Ugh. This solves my problem and saves me money :) am pleased with this machine, it strong motor and cleans like a champ. I do not use the spinner since I have a laundry alternative spin dryer which also works like a champ. So the only thing my last one was almost 2' shorter this one which has little legs sort of. Consequently it means moving my shelves where I store it in the kitchen. Not a big deal but hey, a pain in the padooka. But I am happy with it and would recommend.

Works, but...
After reading the manual for its correct use, I began to wash clothes. Does the job but vibrates or trembles and moves too much. Even on the carpet.

Reliable
Good and portable, suitable if you go camping or live in a small place.Doesn't need much water, with a small quantity is enough. The only issue is when rinsing, it moves so much, but is expectable.
