Yes it's a nice size. The main compartment is quite big. My daughter puts her lunch, laptop and PE kit in it.

Does it have room for a small lunchbox, water bottle, gym clothes (no shoes) laptop and 5 A4 jotters?

My daughter take two day folder at least one large text book laptop lunch box water bottle pencil case and there is still a small amount of space
