Updated in review: Sounds just as good, maybe even better, than my TEAC that cost me over $400!
This thing rocks and I even hear some sounds from songs I didn't hear with my more expensive TEAC like some more cowbell in "Born on the Bayou". I like the two modes, DAC and PreAmp. I'm running it in DAC only and it's feeding one of two tube amps and I must say it's a great buy at $129! I have the silver and it's being fed with a larger USB power brick (2.1 amp port) and not a lame computer USB port. I suggest you do the same as others have also reported the better "punch" from the voltage and current being "there" for it. The headphone amp is powered by two 12V/7AH batteries in series supplying the needed 24V. The sound is as clean as you can ask with ZERO hum from computer or household 60 Hz buzz. Headphones are Sennheiser HD598s. When not using headphones I disconnect the RCA connectors and feed the larger Tube Amp and that feeds a sub with it's line out and some great valued Sony Speakers. I don't see changing this setup any time in the near future! It's a tad Bassey/Muddy with the headphone setup and that's due to the Bravo headphone amp/headphone combo. The highs come in when I swing it over to the larger amp/speaker combination so it's not the DAC. I'm freakin' happy about this DAC!!!Update. My computer for some reason would not recognize this after about 3 weeks of working perfectly. I uninstalled it and reinstalled with one version previous driver and it's back on line now. Hmmmm

Great Dac
Love the ease of operation and connection. Easy to install. 3 inputs you can use and also works as a pre amp. Sound is clear and you can listen to clean music with a good amp. Great value for 130 bucks

Very good budget DAC
I bought this for my second system (I have a Schiit Modi for my main system), just experimenting. I can't tell the difference in sound between this and the Modi, but this one is more convenient and I like the display. Unfortunately the remote isn't very useful because it doesn't control the E30 when it is in pure DAC mode - only when it is in PreAmp/DAC mode, which I don't use (because the PreAmp isn't as good as the one in my integrated amplifier).

Excellent DAC for Amazon music Hd
Big disclaimer. There’s two settings on this dac. Dac mode and pre amp mode. Make sure you change it to dac mode only. Otherwise it won’t sound that good. Also there’s 6 sound filters called functions on this. I prefer 4.The sound quality bump you get from this is just tremendous. I love This thing. I have it hooked up to my pc and tv then going out to either my pc speakers or my home stereo. The sound is just amazing. Especially with acoustic guitars. You can hear every little detail and the separation is great. Invest in a dac. You won’t regret it. It can even turn a decent edfier pc speakers into great speakers

Nice DAC for the price
This is my first stand alone DAC, based on some recommendations on AKM449x from a friend. I like the sound. Right now it is connected to a raspberry pi through USB.

E30 is a bargain if $100 less than asking price.
so, been using an old dac from 2010, believe it or not a USB dongle Old “Micro II” by Turtle Beach. was excited to “upgrade” to a modern DAC. System is a basic PC to DAC to Studio Grade Power Amp Alesis RA100 to Studio Grade Reference Monitors Alesis Monitor Ones. This set up was crazy good. As I set up my New Topping E30 the first issue was how unfriendly it is under Linux. you can only get it to display the correct file data (192) IF you are using the correct options in your software / player and some players will not allow you to change using the ALSA option. to add to that, You have to have e30 in “PRE” mode or once you change ALSA you will have no volume control just full volume.Sound quality... biggest let down. the sound quality in my view is only equal to about a $50 and under DAC. the old Micro II crushed it in sound stage, dynamics, detail, bass punch, and high frequency tingle. the Micro II gave incredible detail, while the e30 was only one bump up from laptop quality. for $149 e30 not a good value. this will go back, still looking. Ive worked in the recording industry, so I would consider my personal thoughts an accurate evaluation for its price point.

Great DAC for your money
This little DAC will greatly improve the music listening experience. I love the LCD display and the remote control. I can hear more detail in my music. Absolutely worth your money.

Great Dac and Outstanding Customer Service
If you're looking for an affordable clean high quality dac, then this is it. I can't think of anything that can compete with the E30 at this price range. The service by DiLis-Hifi is a bonus! After receiving the item Judy personally contacted me via email just to confirm I received it before Christmas day! I couldn't be anymore more satisfied.

Perfetta, musicale, solida e compatta!
The media could not be loaded.

Extremely good. Even better than my previous 24 bit DAC
I bought this as a present to myself for doing something great. Glad I got it. I had a 24 bit DAC which was good, and I thought would never be replaceable, but then I saw YouTube videos of this device, which were generally extremely positive. Very glad I got it. Sound quality is clearly even better than that £60 24-bit DAC. The build quality is very good too.The only real negative thing about this thing is the 'manual', which is actually a map-like folded piece of instructions paper that is Chinese and English. Its not very clearly written. Also, perhaps, its a bit silly to have a remote control where not all of the buttons work, because they are for other models [and are described as 'invalid buttons' in the instructions].

An Amazing Price to Performance Feature Packed DAC That Performs Way Above Its Price Point!
Topping E30 Revised Review after one month of owning the unit.**In depth review but for those that want a quick concluded summary**TL;DR - I highly recommend this Topping E30 DAC as it's performs well above its price while packing remote control features and overall it provides good sound staging and separation while maintaining very transparent and clinical sound. It does lacks a bit in depth, dynamics and colouration some may prefer, especially in the bass and lower midrange when compared to competition above two times its cost like the Schitt Modi Multibit. Overall, it's definitely a must pick up as a benchmark at the price point of 130 USD. If you're not interested in the extra features and okay with a simple desktop USB DAC, I would consider picking up the Topping D10S which is the new version of the D10 which measures and performs at the level of the E30 for about 30 USD less. (or in CAD it'd be about $40 saving)#Build#Very lightweight aluminum casing and sleek design with glass front and back panels. Little rubber feet at the bottom to prevent scratches for units below it and from sliding around. Overall, no complaints here and shouldn't be experiencing any damage unless you're dropping it a ton.#Features and Measurements#It's been an absolute pleasure being able to remote control to adjust volume, switch sources, and sound filters on the fly without having to get up manually do it. The remote gives you the freedom of versatility of being used as home audio entertainment speaker pre-out or as a simple as a desktop DAC. When compared to all of the extra fees for importing other dedicated DACs to Canada like the Modi 3 or OL DAC which compete within this price range, this feature alone puts it above its competition.Unfortunately, despite having the lovely remote control, if you're looking Bluetooth connectivity, this unit does not have it. That feature usually tends to be reserved for DAC/Amp combos or higher priced new DACs or amps. The orange LED display on the unit gives it a nice flare in aesthetic and is welcoming in tandem with seeing changes you're actively making with the remote control. I must note that you can also change settings on the unit's display if for some reason you misplace the remote. I recommend looking over the manual if you need assistance operating it with the OSD.As for measurements, I'd highly recommend checking out the measurements on the Audio Science Review forum for more in-depth breakdown of the technical aspect. It measures in toe to toe with DACs two to more times it's cost and is no slouch. The specifications in the product description is close to accurate to the measurements stated in the that breakdown.Basic features such as KHz sample rate, bit depth, DSD support in product description. Works when you plug and play out of the box using USB though highly recommend updating the drivers for it.#Sound#In general, when we are looking to upgrade in audio quality, it will always start with your headphones, then amplifier and lastly the DAC. If you're coming from a general motherboard DAC or USB dongle DAC like the Apple dongle, you will hear definitely hear an improved difference between them. For testing purposes, I prepared a A/B comparison that most people looking to upgrade to a starter DAC. This was also done with the Topping E30 powered with an USB Wall charger to give it proper power.Test set-ups chains:A Hifiman Sundara and AKG Q701 -> Monoprice Liquid Spark -> Topping E30 -> PC via USBB) Hifiman Sundara and AKG Q701 -> Monoprice Liquid Spark -> Realtek S1200A (PC motherboard)My quick impressions between A and B is that step up A is:-a tad bit wider in soundstage, faster and cleaner separation throughout.-low end tightens up and delivers a better bass presentation-mids have a fuller body, and natural tonality with it leaning on tad on the warm side. More engaging.-highs are less harsh and have no odd rare occurrence of distortion on busier tracks when compared with my PC onboard DAC.-detailing and dynamic range a tad bit more noticeable.Overall, the Topping E30 provides a rather natural tonality, great detail retrieval and offers a clean analytical sound. When compared to more expensive offerings like the Modi Multibit (which I managed to demo with my set up) provides a bit more colourful and deeper in tones, and sounds a bit intimate over the E30. At half the price of the Multibit, the technicals and tonality of the E30 particularly outshines it ever so slightly.Moving onto the filters, E30 comes with 6 different PCM filter modes:F-1 SharpF-2 SlowF-3 Short Delay SharpF-4 Short Delay SlowF-5 Super SlowF-6 Low Dispersion ShortAfter running through a few tracks on each filter, for classical, acoustic and most rock genres, the F-4 is my preferred setting (default is set on F-3 out of the box) as I perceive it to be the more natural roll-off on the treble extension which kept vocals and instruments energy and subtle airy details shine through ever so slightly. This is particularly apparent with the Sss sounds in vocals. For most other genres such as pop and most electronic based songs, it's a toss up between F-3 or F-6 for easier listening experience.#Power#For maximum performance, I would highly recommend having it powered through a clean power source such as a USB power bank or using an appropriate USB wall charger block instead of plugging in the USB power into a computer USB port. By not doing so it'll diminish the performance greatly.#Conclusion happens to be my TL;DR at the top of the review##Seller#As for the seller for the product, DILVSHI, I can say they did an amazing job in communicating with me how shipping would be done and helped assure me that if I do run to an issue during the one year warranty period or do not find the product to meet my satisfaction during the 30 day window, I can make a send it back with not much issue. Definitely great customer support as well for touching base after receiving the product.

A great cheap DAC
Topping E30 replaced my ODAC which I very much liked, but I needed also an optical input for my TV sound.E30 has great fidelity, superior as subjective perception to the of the ODAC. I was really surprised by the change of perception. I have it coupled with a carefully tuned tube amplifier and state-of-the-art speaker set and I am really happy with the end result. The remote control is a nice touch if you're just watching TV.Do consider a dedicated power supply (old phone charger) for the power supply as it is very sensitive to noisy power. When powered from the USB of my desktop it really has a very high level (~-80dB) of electronic noise. An old 1A Samsung charger turned it into a really HiFi setup. The ODAC was much more resilient to noise from the power source than the E30.
