Sebago Men's Docksides Portland Waxed Boat Shoes

I have had Docksides before and found them a good shoe - comfortable to wear. The Sebago shoes arrived on time and I was looking forward to wearing them for a sailing weekend I had planned. I had read in the reviews that they were small fitting and accordingly I had ordered a half size too big. I was disappointed to find that the left shoe was so small I couldn’t walk in them and it caused pain if I tried. I returned them and asked for the same shoes but in a further half size bigger. The shoes came on time, a full size larger than I usually wear. The left foot was still so small that it was painful. I decided to persevere with them as this was the second pair and I really like the look of the shoe so I wore them around the house over the course of the weekend. The left shoe was painfully small and tight across my big toe, the right shoe fitted but was approaching the size which would become slack with wear. The only thing that was achieved was a very painful foot and I decided enough was enough. These Docksides were clearly unfit for purpose. This is a great shame as the shoes looked very handsome, but handsome is as handsome does.

Another example of AMAZON selling cheaper (probably Chinese) imitation clothing / shoes under a brand name. Same brand as a previous purchase SEBAGO DOCKSIDES. Same colour. Same size (UK 9.5) yet different shoe to original that doesn’t fit and is clearly on receipt a “copy”.

I have been looking at Deck Shoes for some time, and could not resist these handsome Sebago Docksides. The price discount I just cannot believe! In terms of quality and craftsmanship, comfort and fit (ordered Male size 8 UK), these are amazing, have required no breaking in with socks, barefoot from the off, stylish and comfortable. The only time I take them off if when I go to bed.Thank you.

Despite being my size (42Eu) they were too small and i was obliged to return them: I have had Docksiders many times before but always purchased from a shoe shop. Clearly a pitfall in online shopping Quality however was excellent, and return and replacement rapid. The replacement shoe 43 Eu fitted perfectly but was the wrong colour. This has put me off ordering shoes online for good

I wore for the first time last Bank Holiday weekend. The sole (which is a half size sole over the heel area) moves around and falls out so is uncomfortable. After a couple of days ad hoc wearing, the side stictching has come loose so the seem between the toe and side where the lace goes is now open.My last pair of sebagos lasted 4 years, these have not lasted 4 days. I am unable to return as past the return date.Do not buy online from Amazon as it seems to be dodgy seconds.

Thought this might be sized similar as the Triton shoe but this is slightly slimmer. I am sure the leather will settle to my feet in time.A nice shoe though.

We’ve owned many pairs of Docksides through the years, once broken in they are very comfortable and wear well.

really sad to write a negative review (which I never do tbh) - as I love the shoes, the look and the fit etc (and always have loved them, having worn Sebago DS for 35 odd years)but mine have developed a hole in the toe (just above the sole) after only 2 two months of pretty easy wear - I really want to return them for another pair
