Can you play your speaker with the cover on without affecting sound?

I don’t think this is good idea because it may disabled the bass Features , I don’t advise that you try to but the cover while the boomboox play music This is what I think, i try it now but I feel it’s not good for the speaker (bass), am not really good in English but I hope you get the point, thanks and have a nice day
