Quality fitting
Purchased this for the new screw in fan. Glad I did as the similar fitting that came with he fan was very inferior whereas this product is made of a strong plastic that won’t fade or go brittle. A quality product.

Takes ceiling combined light/fan
Good quality with very prompt delivery. Accepts lightweight screw-in combined ceiling light/fan. Sensible DIY fitter of average ability can surface mount this with extension lead to standard 3-pin socket.

Useless
Cheaply made thin brittle plastic. The actual screw bulb holder is flimsy thin metal with thin contacts inside.But it wasn’t even possible to use it as it has no junction box on the back (unlike typical bayonet batten fittings). So there’s nowhere to make cable connections unless you fit a separate junction box. Idiotic.Can’t believe these things are so hard to find. I only bought this (despite the reviews) after striking out trying to find one elsewhere. But it’s simply not worth bothering with.I’m returning it and the garage/loft light I bought for it rather than risk junk fittings with mains voltage.

Fixed lamp holder
Received with a cracked cowl but this was satisfactory sorted with the supplier.The lamp holed itself is fairly good quality and is still useful albeit without the cowling.Despite the unfortunate minor crack, it is still a good item.

The screw fitting lampholder is very flimsy and collapses easily if overtightened. Wiring markings very difficult to see.
