A awesome distraction
They are just what they advertise a very annoying noise.I wish I could afford one for all my grandchildren because of our current situations in what ever state we live it could just be the distraction needed to stop a very bad situation in our schools or office

Better to be safe then sorry!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased two Hooties for my daughter and daughter in-law for namely safety purposes. They are both active in outdoor sports. The size is perfect to always be able to carry it while out . There is comfort on my behalf to know they are protected when needed. Bootie Personal Alarm for Women is a must and very easy to operate when necessary!

Gift for my girlfriend
I got this for my girlfriend. She just went on a trip and wasn't able to take her pepper spray with her, due to TSA regulations. While she was gone, I happened to see an ad for this item and thought this would be a great option for her personal safety, so I ordered it right away. It came today. I think she is going to be very pleased with it.It is small, actually a bit smaller than her pepper spray. It is airline-approved per TSA. It is LOUD. The strobe is bright. There are no buttons, so there is no worry about accidentally setting it off. Although there is light pressure to pull the pin, the risk of accidentally pulling it is very slim. And, unlike pepper spray, you don't have to aim it - just pull the pin and let it SCREAM.It would be nice if there were a battery life indicator on it, but if you remember to change the batteries once a year, you should be good to go. The included instructions tell you how to change the batteries, but they don't tell you how to remove the cover to do so. There are YouTube videos that show how though, so if you look at it and are not sure how, just check the video.I think this is a valuable, relatively inexpensive personal safety device, and would recommend it.

Good product, misleading ad
The product was fine - I like Hooties, have purchased them before for myself and for gifts, but this time, for over $40, I expected to receive four of them, as shown on their ad. Only one arrived and I could have purchased Hooties on other sites for less than $20 each so why should I pay double that for just one?

Easy to use, loud and should keep you safer than without one.
I haven’t used it yet but am very pleased with the appearance and the instructions on how it works. It should be very easy to carry and use when needed.

Several protective uses.
Loud ear piercing alarm as advertised. Hopefully it’ll work to scare the coyotes away when my niece walks her dogs at night.
