Works great and helps to make a quiet fan even quieter
Fan runs very quiet. Fits CM Haf XB Evo case perfectly. I used spare silicone anti vibration mounts from one of my noctua fans instead of fan screws. Works great and helps to make a quiet fan even quieter. Fan moves plenty of air for my purposes and looks great too. In my opinion, this fan is quieter then the Spectre Pro, but the Pro moves more air.

Great For Cooling Audio Gear!
I actually purchased a pair of these to use as a cooling solution for a large Onkyo receiver that doubles as a heater.I am using a standard AC/DC adapter running at 12 volts on these 200mm BitFenix fans.I had previously been using a pair of 120mm case fans that were positioned to pull out the heat generated by the Onkyo. These did a reasonable job but I wanted to try something in addition.I did the same thing with these 200mm fans, run them with a AC/DC adapter running 12 volts. These are designed to push air so they are blowing down onto the heat sinks in the rear of the receiver. I simply moved the 2 smaller 120mm fans to the front of the case. This method of one set blowing in and the other sucking out the hot air works great. The sound of the BitFenix is very minimal. I pretty much have to get right up on them to even hear them spinning. All in all very pleased for my purposes.

Quiet, decent air flow, and cheap. Could be better, but seemingly excellent bang for the buck.
Bought a BitFenix Pandora case, and since it has two of these already installed i decided to fill the empty fan spot with another of the same kind since i'm weird like that. These are very quiet. At first i didn't think they were working, but they are. So quiet, in fact, that i can hear my HDD spinning. My last case had only one fan slot so i put a very fast (and loud, as I can now tell) fan in it, and after 6 months I guess i got used to it. These changed that for me. I am now on a mission to find the perfect balance of performance and noise. These are a good start, but for me they don't seem to move enough air.

Smooth, strong, cool, and silent
Great fan! it is HUGE. Moves some air and is very very quiet. I did not actually use this in a computer, but instead used it as a ceiling vent fan for a hexayurt shelter while camping in a desert. It sipped power from a 12V car battery and never stopped running no matter how dusty the air was.

It's doing what it's supposed to do, and it fits in the Thermaltake Spedo Advance.
UPDATE: 2 years later, it's dead. This fan screw holes fit exactly on the Thermaltake Spedo Advanced side panel. I finally found a replacement for the side fan. There is only about 1mm left before it touches the CPU heat sink.I hate the tiny screws they provided, they are useless for pull configuration. In order to use it as a pull fan, I used my own long screws with nuts to hold it in place.I like the black cable, the length is good enough. This fan took my CPU temps down 4 degrees. I will not comment right now on the airflow and acoustics, but they seem decent however, there is a very low hum and it doesn't sound annoying yet. For the price of a single high-end 120mm fan. It is a great buy.I got a big dent on the shipment. I'm really happy that the fan works. It was difficult to find a 20mm thin fan for my stupid outdated case.

Not really a "230mm fan", but not bad for $12
As some have noted, the photo of the 230mm fan is incorrect. In reality, it is oval-shaped, with two flat sides and two reinforced round sides. Measuring the distance between the flats gives 195mm and the impeller diameter is 185mm. By comparison, Noctua NF-A20, which has a proper square shape, or Antec Big Boy 200 (with a similar to BitFenix oblong shape), both measure 200mm between flats and a 185mm impeller diameter as well. So, for all intent and purpose, this Spectre model should be classified as a 200mm fan, too.The fan is fairly quiet, but not very smooth - vibration can be felt through the frame, the motor rumbles a little, and makes occasional scratching and clicking noises, which can become more annoying when run at less than nominal 12V. The hub is large and the bearings feel cheap - the hub can slide some 3mm up and down, if not more. All of that is quite typical and to be expected in this price range.Lastly, it does not move a whole lot of air for its size, a likely compromise to keep the RPM down for quieter operation. Compared against the Noctua NF-A20 and Antec Big Boy, the BitFenix actually has better airflow than the Noctua (and subjectively is about as quiet, but not nearly as smooth), and handily outperformed by the Big Boy (on high setting), though that comes at expense of a much higher noise.I am not docking any points for the mounting holes, since there isn't an industry standard anyway, and I usually make my own mounts regardless. All in all, not a bad buy at $12, especially if you need a bunch of them. Just remember that it's really a 200mm fan - both for expectations and spec comparison.

Are these refurbs?
Just got the fan today and opened it up. There is dust and crud all over the blades. The package seemed sealed, but clear stickers over one of the sides would be easy to replace. Not sure if I should install it or just send it back.

I'm sure it is excellent for that it is intended
Sharp looking, very durable, as the blade are flexible. I'm sure it is excellent for that it is intended. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't move the volume of air for a larger/special project. But I'll find something to use it for...

Ran fine - for a week.
Item fit into a tight space and worked well - for a week. Then the motor died.
