I was having the 771 message about communication lost with the satellite dish. Of course the dish just reflects the signal to the LNB (low noise block) unit in front of the dish, which has the satellite receiver circuitry. This is the assembly with the white round pucks (there was only one as I had a single LNB unit), so I ordered this guy since I had zero support from Directv for our RV. Installation was a dream: it took me a couple of minutes with no tools required whatsoever. The antenna didn't require realignment after installation. This solved the 771 signal communication issue (I got it one time only after installation). I do have an extra spare power inserter and signal splitter since I didn't need to replace those. I got the idea to purchase this after we were having signal communication problems at our home (this unit is for our RV) and the technician brought out a new triple LNB unit. The problem turned out to be a loose connection inside our home, but he replaced the LNB anyways. I asked why and he said that it was precautionary. This tells me these guys don't last forever and degrade over time.

Obviously brand new DirecTV OEM equipment at a bundle price that simply can't be beat.If you're constantly getting 771 and 775 errors I HIGHLY recommend getting this bundle and installing it yourself as the first step in resolving 771/775 errors yourself. With free shipping, it costs less than the $50 service call (for those that aren't paying the $150/yr maintenance gig) and it resolved my 771/775 error issues.Due diligence: This fixed MY problem (SWIM module issues) but then I was able to determine that is wasn't the receiver or the cables, both of which can be the reason for 771/775 error issues.Next day delivery wasn't possible but since I had been dealing with intermittent 771/775 errors for months an months waiting a few more days wasn't a big deal.

A perfect drop in replacement for my non SWM dish. No need to re-aim the dish if you're careful in removing the old without applying too much pressure to the old dish. My old LNB practically decayed away over a period of 10 years. The plastic white parts were completely gone, and shortly after I was missing complete satellites and channels. I bolted this to my rusty old dish, reconfigured my DVR to use SWM and shazam, everything was detected properly and I had all my channels back.

This worked great for upgrading my slimline dish setup to a SWIM setup. I previously had cords and b-band connectors running everywhere and was able to reduce my wiring and throw away the b band converters. This was especially nice as i was consolidating my Home Theater items all into one location (racked setup). If you are considering doing anything like that or want to receive all of the DTV sats, this is the way to go. Make sure you have a slimline dish in order to use this product.

This LNB is the perfect replacement! It took all of 10 minutes to get the ladder and get on the rook to change this out. No re-alignment needed. Straight up 98% signal strength on SAT 101 as soon as it was connected!

I have a Slimline dish with a 5 non-SWM LNB without any luck while camping, I replaced it with this and now it is easy to set up and get a strong signal. After setting up the antenna, it takes about 2 minutes using a free satellite finder app to locate the satellites and fine tune for a great picture. Great price.

A little tricky for the novice to install but it does the job and you can use it with only one coax cable to your DTV box. Works with the older H-10 DVRs too but be sure to check to see if you have that option before you buy this.
