My Best Hutch Yet!
First off, the assembly was super easy! Second, the hutch wasn’t covered in harsh chemicals or white mold. I have bought from aivituvin in the past and while the hutch I bought from them is a decent home for my buns, once I opened the box to assemble it, I could smell all kinds of weird chemicals. Not to mention every single piece of the hutch had to be wiped down thoroughly because it was covered in white mold (even in the smallest, tightest little spaces). And lastly, it’s spacious and just all around a great home for my rabbits. I didn’t even have to buy bunny houses for them. That comes included in the hutch! (Also, I was scared that the latches wouldn’t be sturdy at first, but trust me, they will definitely keep your rabbits safe! The clip on the wire door can easily be tightened to your liking.)

Do not use indoors
While I wanted to love this hutch it has proven to be more problematic then anything else. First it smells very strongly when unboxing and for days afterwards which was manageable with windows open but from 3 days into owning this product and cleaning both cages daily there is still an abundance of poop and pee on the floor every morning and evening. I have tried different liners, don't use shavings or carefresh as it will also fall right out of the gap in between the removable tray and the walls. The tray does not sit flush with the walls and leaves gaps for pee and poop to fall everywhere. Since day 3 not a day has gone by where there has not been poop and pee on the floor. The leak proof tray is true but what is left out is the fact that the tray is not flush against the wall, there are big gaps for everything to fall through and unless your bunny or guinea pig has a mind to pee directly in the inside of the tray every time pee will be everywhere. It was definitely a waste of money being that I now need to find new cage solutions.

Not the best design
It doesn't have a grate above the tray. Me and my significant other had to do woodwork to make it more fit for a bunny. Love the look from the outside of it. So that is what had us more eager to fix it than replace it.

Very nice size. Lightweight
Cage is perfect for my kids holland lop and polish rabbit. Rabbits have plenty of room and really enjoy the hideout. One of the rabbit likes to chew the wood that located at bottom front of cage. Problem fixed by just attaching some thin plywood from dollar tree to block her from biting the cage. She bites the plywood instead

NOT SOLID, not for outside.
Design was good, but parts are sub-par quality. NOT INSULATED, NOT SOLID WOOD. I was modifying it and discovered some things, see pictures.UPDATE - Raccoons destroyed all by quail, they were able to reach through the ‘cage’, since the openings are very wide. and pull the birds through.

Great cage if you know what to expect for the price!
I bought this (along with a bottle of wood glue) knowing it would be a little flimsy, as are all the other similar wood hutches. The back board is hollow, and it split open during assembly, but luckily we had our wood glue and several clamps. We also anticipated having to sand the drawers to make them go in and out easily, so have an electric sander handy. Finally, bunnies DO chew wood. I am shocked at the number of people who complained that their guinea pig or bunny chewed the cage! of course! they chew wood!!! On our former hutch, our bunnies chewed all along the bottom of the "bunny window," where the bars meet the wood on the inside. Again, we built this prepared.... we bought cheap Galvanized Medium Strap (about $1.70 each) and screwed them into place along the bottom of the inside window, with just 1/8" sticking up.. This works. We also put the strapping along the bottom front-edge of the lower drawer, as my bunny likes to chew on that when hopping around outside the hutch. Basically, if the wood is not flush to anything (protrudes), the bunny will chew it. That is true for ANY other wooden cage...All that said, I LOVE the size of this hutch!!! Both my bunnies (dwarfs) enjoy the space. I also took out the boxed divider and put a grass hutch in that area, which then gives the bunnies more room. Yes, pee (or maybe it was water) did drip down a leg, but I have a boy bunny, so unless you have them in a glass aquarium, there will be sprayed pee that is not contained. I saw someone complained about the solid floor and the bunnies having to step in their own poop... welll, dah!!!!! It says that.... I bought the solid floor because it is BETTER for their feet... that means either I have to clean up after them or get them litter trained. If you don't want to do either, then get a wire bottom cage... they do sell those.Ok, in sum, for the cheap price, I added a little wood glue (clamping too), strapping, and sanding to make it a great cage. It was worth it to have two large spaces for our bunnies. Anytime I order an assembly-required item, I have wood glue and extra screws, drill, etc. handy... It's just common sense. All that said, they have only been in it a few days, so we'll see over time... Oh, the shipping is as slow as molasses on a cold winter's day!

Great for indoors
The instructions seemed pretty clear to me, yes the items aren’t number but the instructions are pictures.... kinda hard to mess that up! Took my 45 min to open, inspect and set up. ( smelled great- cedar) nothing was damaged and all the peices fit together perfectly. I wouldn’t recommend using power tools the wood is soft. Also I don’t think it would hold up very well outdoors. Definitely suggest adding most support to the trays depending on your needs. I purchased it for our meat rabbits to use before weaning them. I don’t like the traditional wire people use, I feel they should to be comfortable and happy. So the hutch will be indoors 90% of the time. I am planning on adding wheels to it soon.

Don’t waste your money
Worst cage set up ever. You can not pull out the trays if there is bedding in it. It falls to the next level, and all over the floor: horrible!
