The Etnies Jameson Vulc is the vulcanized version of our best-selling shoe, the Jameson 2. It retains footwear design simplicity while maintaining premium performance. Your minimal, stripped down performance skate shoe. The Jameson Vulc uses a new last that has a lower toe box, keeping the vamp closer to your foot, which in turn keeps you closer to the board for a better flick and board feel. We have incorporated the tread pattern from the rct- a team favorite by far. Inside the midsole is an egg crate construction to add some extra cushion and comfort to a vulcanized shoe with a STI foam lite 1 insole.

Sweet kicks, but lousy at keeping your neck warm. Get a scarf for that!
The review form asks me to write what I liked or disliked, and what I used them for? Let's see, I liked the shoes because thats what I ordered... shoes. And, I used them for my feet... well, because they're shoes. I was going to use them for my neck, but I bought a scarf instead and kept these for my feet. Glad I did. That said, they're pretty sweet foot garages, and fit true to size.

So comfortable!!
My feet had been hurting every night when I left work so I ordered these ernie's and wore them to work the first day I got them. My feet felt so much better that night. I thought it may take a wear in period before they were comfortable enough not to hurt but they didn't. I wore them 8 hrs and I'm on my feet all 8 hrs at work with the exception of 20-30 minutes for lunch. I would definitely recommend these and will be buying ernie's from now on.

Runs small.
I usually wear Newbalance shoes and these Jameson Vulcs run at least half a size smaller. I bought these to ride on my mountain bike flat pedals because skate shoes are supposed to be stickier for pedals than regular running shoes. They were somewhat stickier than my running shoes, but not as sticky as the Vans slip-ons I replaced these with. Since they're too small I'll be giving them away, but otherwise they'd make a decent lounge shoe. I realize skate shoes are supposed to be tight fitting, but these were just too tight. Also, apparently Emerica and Etnies are the same company so don't freak out like I did when the listed brand changed after ordering, they came with the Etnies logo on them.

Very comfy sneakers
These are not all suede as stated, but suede with canvas on both sides. I usually wear size 10 wide (women's sizes), size 8.5 (men's ) is a good fit, a bit roomy in toe box, VERY comfy sneakers! Will try half size smaller next time.

Under heel padding too firm
I've had these shoes a little over a year. Fit is as expected, shoes look nice. Decently comfortable at first, but about six months in, the heel padding feels like a rock. Comfort level at this point is very low.

Nice, but did not last long.
Unfortunately the inside of the heels eroded within 5 months of light use.I didn't mind since it felt the same. But now after 7 months it chafes my heels through the socks.Otherwise I would give these shoes 5 stars.

I'm thoroughly disappointed I spent so much on a shoe I assumed ...
These shoes wore down far too quickly. I bought them a few months ago, and already in the first month under the heel wore through and started squeezing my socks - creating holes in all my socks. The back of the shoe also wore out and the sole has separated from the shoe. I'm thoroughly disappointed I spent so much on a shoe I assumed would last some time but didn't live up to it's expectations. I previously had another pair of Etnies which lasted years and were wonderful, but these didn't share that same quality. It is sad to see quality craftsmanship go out the window as time progresses...

Came damaged
Every thing factory about these shoes are perfect, except that some one scratched and damaged them in the box. Really disappointed because I am getting ready to go on a trip and now I am going to have to send back.

Disappointing
If I had reviewed these after first purchased I would have left 5 stars, they looked good quality, lovely bright colour and were extremely comfortable. However, they did not have the longevity I would have expected. Granted they were reasonably cheap I would have hoped they would have lasted at least a year....I would stick to Vans or Converse...sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Excellent quality
Really good quality. Bought for my partner who loves them. He says they are really comfy and they look very casual but smart. They arrived on time and worth every penny. He is really happy with the feel of the shoe they do not feel cheap and the grip is excellent.

Leaky
Lovely pair of trainers, but the bonding around the sole went within weeks and I ended up with soaking feet in the lightest of rain.
