The media could not be loaded.  We’re diy remodeling our kitchen and have managed to salvage and repurpose all of our original cabinet bases (ikea Akurum, melamine with birch finish) in our new layout. We cut down the bases to reconstruct to the custom sizes we needed, and are just wrapping up our fridge surround. Because we cut the melamine down from what was a pantry cabinet we had a lot of raw edges. This finished them up pretty close to perfectly, and was super easy to use (standard iron, high heat). Love that there was a bit of play while the adhesive was still hot so I could push the banding around.Finished it off with a quick edge sanding and two coats of matte poly- and now we’ll see how it lasts 🤞🏻

I’m an experienced wood worker and have used edge banding on many projects. Recently I tried a slightly less expensive brand from Amazon; it was junk!!!…very poor adhesion due to little or no glue, very thin veneer that burned easily with medium heat of the iron, and in areas where there was enough glue, the veneer was so flimsy that I couldn’t keep it aligned anywhere near the edge of the board; it slid from side-to-side while I was trying to iron it onto the board edge, and because the veneer was so thin I couldn’t push it back into place without cracking or bending over the edge. Enough about the junk product…I’ve used Edge Supply edge banding before and was very happy with it, so I went back to Edge Supply and bought this 50’ roll of birch edge banding. Edge Supply really does provide the best value in edge banding. The wood veneer is very good quality, and glue/adhesion is excellent. However, be aware that there are several finger splices throughout the 50’ roll, but they are a perfect fit and nearly invisible if you use a natural finish. If you’re using a dark stain, this will make the splices more visible.

I liked that there was so much of it for a reasonable price.

Works well

This birch edge banding works great but it's a bit narrow for use on 3/4" plywood. Even though the plywood is under 3/4", there isn't much of a margin to line up the banding to the plywood. While it is wide enough to cover the plywood edge, it's easy for the banding too creep off the edge while heating to show the raw plywood edge. I would have preferred 7/8" wide banding for a nominal 3/4" plywood board.

I’m happy with the way this turned out although I did have some adhesion issues. Not big deal I just had to go back over with the iron. I’ve used other iron on banding before without that issue. But it worked out well for me

Worked as advertised. Looked good too. I used this on a kitchen freestanding pantry cabinet. It was a hair wider than the 3/4" plywood. I'll buy more when needed.

Went on easy with iron on highest (hottest) setting, once cooled completely I trim with a very sharp utility knife and sanded with 150 grit and it turned out great. Any excess glue flaked away with the sanding. Would definitely recommend this product and will be using it again on future projects!
