Hi, Thank you for your question. You should have received 4 1/2 inch screws with your adapter kit, along with 4 nuts and washers. After placing the washer under the screw head, use the nut to secure the 1/2 inch screw to the banister adapter. Tighten the screw with a screwdriver until it is securely in place.
