Prunus does it again! I own and have reviewed the entire line of Prunus radios. This is fantastic. AM is good, FM is stellar with the dual speakers. MP3 is equally as amazing espeically if you're playing music from your cell phone that has those little inferior speakers. This makes your stored music BOOM. Looks are outstanding and the build quality is excellent. Prunus really pays attention to small details. My one nitpick would be the screen was hard to see outside. Now that can be just my bad eyesight. Indoors it looks fantastic. I also want to add in doing a night time scan it found 39 AM broadcast stations. That is FANTASTIC! I would buy this again!

For $22, I wasn't expecting much - was I surprised!!! Surprising great sound, digital tuning, reads MP3s, and fits in your pocket. The radio seems smarter than me....tried using it first day, got frustrated trying to set my favorite stations. Finally just set it in my window sill, and let it scan in all stations in my area. After that, find out what channel number your desired station is on, and remember it. Channel numbers are in 'P04, P17' format, etc.If you want channel 16, just press 1-6, and it will jump there. I haven't even tried the blutooth or other functions, but for the money this thing is amazing !!!

I'll be honest. I wanted an inexpensive portable radio. When I ordered it, I didn't have high expectations for it. I was pleasantly surprised. The sound quality is very good for the price. The reception is also fairly clear. I am listening to FM stations 50 miles away with good clarity. I like the fact it is rechargable, and has USB/memory card capability. It also has Bluetooth capability to answer calls from your phone. (I haven't used this feature, yet) I only have one real complaint. You do not have the choice to tune in your own stations, just what is picked up on scan. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I have two smaller radios that would not work in an industrial building where i sometimes work. I purchased this one specifically for that reason. It works great. I like that it has two great speakers, tuning is completely digital, has a scan feature, works with blue tooth, has an auxiliary input. I just can't say enough. Really love the is radio. Highly recomment it.

This is a great little radio and bluetooth speaker:Pros:- Tiny speakers sound great, full range w/some bass, great for small to medium size rooms, ok in large rooms.- FM reception works well, I live in semi-rural area and it pulls in far away stations decently.- Bluetooth functions work well.- Small compact design fits easily into hand/pocket/backpack.- Ease to replace 'flat' style battery! This is a major win! -no- crazy internal limited-lifetime soldered battery. Very cool!Cons: (No real show stopper here, some minor quirks)- Charging port uses older USB 'mini' plug, which works fine but why not use the nearly universal USB 'micro' standard used on most android phones today, then you could charge from anywhere!- Cannot pre-program -just- your favorite stations. It can scan and save -all- stations in your area, or you can directly input 3 digit frequency, which is no big deal. But why not use the standard in car radios for past 50 year and just long-press on digit to save station there?Overall great radio, happy with purchase.

This little buddy is perfect! There’s a couple of local radio stations that I can’t get on the internet so this is perfect for my needs! My wife makes fun of me and calls me grandpa, but I don’t care. :)

Nice radio except AM reception is very poor. Bought the radio to listen to AM sports and talk radio. The reception is really poor, I put it next to my old Panasonic AM/FM radio which pulls these stations in crystal clear. The J-288 barely received the stations and was very noisy. FM radio and Bluetooth are very clear and work well. I’m thinking about returning it for a refund at this point as it doesn’t meet my original reason to buy it.Update, tech support reached out to me and offered a free radio with better AM reception. Unfortunately, when it arrived it would not turn on correctly. I appreciate their attempt to satisfy the issue but decided to return the J-288 and find a different radio with better reception. The J-288 has a lot of poor reviews on AM reception which I wish I had read before trying it. I believe that is why Tech Support was willing to give me another radio. But in the end, it’s a $24 radio with a lot of neat features not found on more expensive radios.

Great little speaker. FULL SOUND, but wont fill a room. Set it in front of you and you hear every note and breath the singer takes. Great great listening experience at close distance. Not sure if it came with a stand though, (there is a mounting slot on bottom), so with antenna extended, it tips over unless you balance it.

I had their smaller model radio L-088AM with mp3 for about 1.5 yr and still works fine.I needed slightly bigger sound, so got this baby. Totally worth it. Satisfied with quality and ease of operation. All working as expected and described. Makers know their stuff !!It even remembers the position of the last mp3 song and the last mode perfectly. Buttons are built to last.Suggestion to manufacture: Bass could be improved. Next time please give us bass and treble buttons and more powerful battery. You can reduce the size of fonts in display and give us a simple clock.

1) Old hat, outdated technology. TF/SD Cards must be formatted FAT/FAT32 not NTSF. It's a Pro feature tho' that it even takes Cards at all.2) Over the last few years Android phones have standardized to Mini Charger Terminals; before C Terminals. Lots of us have an investment in Mini Cables and Mini A/C Chargers. Micro is outdated. I had to scrounge to find some.3) This BT Radio cannot connect to BT Earphones/Buds. Corded Ear Pieces are so inefficient/hassle.4) I have to fiddle with the Volume button to get it play Low into the phones. It is imprecise and finicky. Perhaps that's just a fault with my individual unit. the charge terminal is a loose fit too.5) Imprecise Off Button. Long press takes too long to work if at all.6) On the Pro side it can get a good signal with the antenna extended only flush.7) Size is a Pro as it is compact and workable enough for me on my Motorcycle.

I bought this radio for my office at work. It works great! Reception is the best I have had on any radio. The blue tooth is a bonus as it works well. The sound is crisp and surprisingly it goes quite loud. Super fast delivery too. I would definitely recommend.

I only use this as an "FM radio" in isolated house area, but it's capable of much, much more. Sadly, the On/Off switch is so fiddly (lose 2 Star). Otherwise, it makes a good little desk radio, nice build and finish.

We bought this radio to replace our old kitchen radio. It was easy to set up and use. It does not come with a charger but any usb wall wart will work. The instructions say not to leave it plugged in.
