Q: Do you think these work overnight for my 4 year old?

They will still leak through. They are thick enough that it does not soak through fast. But I would not use for overnight if the 4 year old has big accidents.

I grand kids are 3 and very tall and the gerber pants were way too small. You might want to try these sites...they are related, but the prices vary so you can check out each site and see which offers what you want, at the best price. My grand kids are 4T and i got the XL waterproof training pants and they fit great, thought they are a bit on the puffy side. I will say they are more like water resistant though.
