Better then expected
I had my doubts when I first decided to give this caddy a try. But gave it a whirl and it has worked out pretty well. It took me a few tries to find the best fit for the rods but once I did it does as advertised. It holds four rods/reels very well and does keep them for fouling each other. I would not recommend for anything much over a 4000 size reel as it will get very cumbersome. Also the caddy itself is very lite. That is good but don't leave it sitting around where a good gust of wind can get it. Overall happy with purchase.

UPDATE (- 1 *) Surprisingly nice, inexpensive rod carrier/storage
Update:As much as I really like this product, I feel the need to come back here and remove a star. When moving my Rodmaster around the basement. I admittedly kinda dropped it from no more than a foot off the ground (and it did have four rods in it so it kinda tilted to the ground with the rods hitting first), but I was very surprised to see that one half of the base piece simply snapped off so now the product won't even stand on it's base (it just falls over). Yes, I realize that I did "drop it", but c'mon -- far worse things happen to fishing gear when fishing, and it doesn't shatter like this did. Now I'm undecided on whether to replace it with another one. I still like this product and even though there are more competitors now than when I first bought it, this still seems the best. It's very thin plastic right out of the box, but seems to be okay. But now I'm wondering if the plastic doesn't get more brittle over time, especially as it's exposed to sunlight? Again, I admittedly dropped it, but the drop was only inches and wasn't a hard drop. I don't feel the base should've cracked completely in half like it did. It should be more durable than that.Original review:Since moving to Virginia from Florida, I've become less of a kayak fisherman and more of a shore fisherman, so I really needed something that allowed me to easily hike a decent distance carrying at least 4 fishing rods. This definitely does the trick! When I first opened the package, I was a little disappointed at how flimsy and plastic some of the pieces felt, but after assembly it is actually rather sturdy, but very lightweight. The only competing, similar device here on Amazon (at over twice the price) actually uses your rod butts as part of a "tripod" like stand. I wanted my rods completely off the ground and out of the mud, which the Rodmaster does nicely with it horizontal storage design. The clamps that actually hold the rods are not hard plastic -- they're rubberish, so no damage to the rods from putting them in and taking them out of the clamps. I currently carry two baitcaster and two spinning combos in the Rodmaster, and although it takes a little finagling to get all four in there, once you figure out how the reel handles need to be positioned, it's relatively easy. I'm just glad I found a solution that didn't cost a fortune. I think that a six rod Rodmaster would be a nice option as well, but I'm okay with just four rods for now.

It is also great to have all of your rods with you without ...
This is a must have for your fishing gear. Just remove it from the wall and go. It is also great to have all of your rods with you without all the tangle.

Good idea, but just an ok product
I like the idea better than the product, I was a trying to be careful screwing it together but unfortunately a screw stripped anyway.I had to put some black electrical tape on one of the top corners to help hold that area taught. It also takes up a little more space than i thought it would. All my gripes aside, it does help protect my poles while hanging or carrying them. I received this product for a fair price and it was delivered real quick.

Wrong screws again
Similar to my first order- This time enough screws but same as before they are not the right size, too short and/or thin. Poor quality control, I’ll have to go find the right screws but easier than returning. The caddy does serves its purpose very well- I use it to load and unload boat and bring rods out of boat to camp. It’s overpriced for the quality, probably should have considered another $10 for a more durable model by Taco. But it works for what I need. Garage wall to boat or car to camp and back. Handy, heavier gauge and right parts could give more stars.

They have a good purpose just not what I was looking for.
Well made, easy to assemble, quality product.
