Q: What is the difference between a chopper and a processor? Can I emulsify using this (mayo, vin, etc)?

I have a chopper and a food processor. I like using the chopper when I chop a small amount such as a bowl of slaw but I use the processor when I have a large amount. Also the chopper is small so it does not take much space and it does a good job. I use the chopper much more than I use the processor. I do not about the ability to emulsify because I have never tried. C. Dale

Q: Do u have to hold the button down or can u turn it on and step away while it chops?

You have to hold the button in order for it to work. I actually donated it to Goodwill because it was not good, too noisy and it did not chop that well either. I replaced it with Proctor Silex 72500RY 1-1/2-Cup Food Chopper, you still can't step away, but it works much better

Yes, it chops. But you need to be careful about the timing. Too much chopping will result in near mincing.

Q: Howdo I remove the bowl from base of Chopper?

I remove the blade first...then give the bowl a little twist towards the right...it clicks, and you can lift it off...to put it back on, you line up the two groves on the side...then twist towards the left and it locks in place
