Royce Leather James' Zippered Writing Padfolio (Black)

The Royce Leather Genuine Executive Padfolio and Document Organizer is an excellent, very good, high-quality product for any serious professional and college/university student, like myself. The inside and the outside look excellent and high-end, but one minor thing I notice is that the pend holder is very snugged and can be overlooked when first hold in one's hands, because it is quite flat on the inside leather spine of the padfolio. I would not recommend using it because it may rip and damage the leather. Instead, I would suggest to use exterior zippered pocket to storage pens, as well as other papers. Overall, this is a great padfolio; therefore, I give 4 stars.

The Royce "James" Padfolio is beautiful soft, plush leather and perfectly sized. It isn't too big and bulky (think briefcase) or too small (think covered writing pad). The interior sports a full size note pad on the right side with room to slide a few important papers in a slot behind the pad. The left side allows you to carry an electronic device (your Kindle, IPad or Surface) or more papers in a larger expandable pocket. Your smart phone fits snugly in the small pocket - the sides are elastic in order to accommodate different sized phones. Above the cell pocket are 12 slots to hold credit or business cards (important when you go to conferences). Additionally, there is a zippered compartment between the expandable pocket and the smart phone/card area. It isn't large enough to hold regular size paper; but it could hold your passport and other smaller documents. This padfolio is zippered on three sides to enable you to carry other papers/magazines loosely in the interior compartment. On the outside there is a zippered compartment large enough to hold either more papers or another electronic device! Finally, it is small enough to carry in your arm as you would a textbook, or you can use the unobtrusive handle on the side and carry it as you would a briefcase. All in all its design is well thought out for today's professional.

This lovely leather portfolio makes a great graduation gift for the young (or older) graduate. It's polished, yet, not showy, and lends an air of competence and sophistication to its owner. Much neater than the student backpack stuffed with manila folders and loose paper. This is a very good value for the price.
