Good addition to the tool box
Bought a Bosch professional hammer drill (£100) to do those do it yourself stuff - but at times it just didn’t do the job for example - when trying to put curtain tracks up into a concrete RSJ.So bought this Dewalt … why didn’t I do it before ???It’s got a dial to change from hammer to SDS.On SDS it made short work of the holes for the curtain tracks. With a graded trigger you can starts slow and really get accurate hole locations.Be careful - on full power it can be an aggressive SDS drill and the hole will be much deeper than it should be 🙄Its heavier and bigger than a standard hammer drill but don’t be put off. It’s light enough to use and has enough power with 2-j power for all household jobs and more. For just over £100 it’s great vfm compared with a hammer drill.I would recommend buying good SDS drill bits - £20 gets a reasonable selection with both long and short shafts. Not used the Bosch since I have had this … probably put it on eBay now 😃

Creat drill , and in its own case
Loved the fact this came in its own case , not advertised as such which was a bonus. Can be used as a standard nonoercussion hammer drill .

Great weight for a woman
Very easy to install the drill bits, powerful and a great weight. My previous sds drill felt over powerful and heavy - this one is perfect

Graet
Not had a lot of use but bags of power. I needed to buy another chuck for it so I could use existing tools. Recommended!

Lightweight but really up to the job
I love my new drill, it is much lighter and easier to handle than my previous one and yet is really powerful, makes short work of drilling into dense bricks. It doesn't come with a chuck so you need to buy one if you want to use bits or accessories that don't have an SDS connection, but them it is an SDS drill. Okay, I like the pretty yellow finish but also that does make it easy to spot when it is lying around amongst debris and rubble. Great drill.

Jumps to much on hammer to be accurate .
Certainly feels like a powerful machine up to ruff and hard work. My problem is when using the hammer drill on an interior brick wall, as soon as the hammer kicks in it jumps away from the intended place you want to drill, even if i make an pilot indent first. Its a heavy enough drill but I'm no weakling.

Happy tradesman again :)
So I read some reviews and decided to go with this, I was initially disappointed when I lifted it out of the case as it was a lot lighter than my old hammer drill and felt like a toy. But that’s where it ended, I plugged it in and went away chasing out walls and sockets. Just wow, previously I thought I had brought poor tool accessories to work with but it was my old drill that was the problem. The design to limit shock in the arm is amazing, it doesn’t wasn’t to dislocate your shoulder, you can start off slow when it comes to drilling without a kick back when the hammer gets used. Would I recommend this product? Yes without a doubt.
