Need more information on the temperature control. Mine tends to burn everything rather quickle. Don’t see how one can bake anything in it.

If you are like me, you probably bought this skillet because you were tired of the brown ring of burned food virtually all other electric fry pans create. This one takes a little getting used to. For one, it has a very heavy aluminum, so you get almost the same temperature fron center to any edge. Basically, that means when you turn it off, the electric stops, but the temperature will hold way up their for a long time. Tips that I have found to cook most anything: Highest temperature 300 degrees F. I like 250. That works good for frying meet, vegies, high liquid content, etc. I guess if you are going to bake a cake, follow the temperature guidelines. Very important, is to turn it off before you get to suggested cool times. As much as 10 to 15 minutes early. If you temp drops too fast, you can always turn it back on again. If you are low cooking, use the lowest temperature you can. Just my opinion, cant prove it, but Simmer works for almost everything once it is about 1/2 done. Once I got some experience with this, it quickly became my "goto" pan for chili, stew, almost anything you would not use a slow cooker or a toaster/convection oven for. (I only use my oven for storage and turn on maybe 1 or 2 times a year for 18-20" pizza)

is the pan removable?

The temperature control is removable. The entire pan can be submerged for cleaning as needed. It also has the best temperature distribution of any electric fry pan I have owned. I measured the temperature edge to edge and found it remarkably consistent across the pan. You will enjoy cooking in it with no hot boiling ring from the heating element like in other pans.

Can it be used outside?

There is nothing inherently safer or more dangerous about using this little guy outdoors than any other AC appliance. You just have to keep them all away from water.
