These are perfect, when used for exactly what they are supposed to be used for, short, loud bursts. The rest of the time they rest around your neck. They ARE loud in the ears if you bump them against something very hard but its never been a problem for me. I just grab 'em off my neck and put them on when I run a saw or drill into concrete or shoot a nail gun in a small confined space and it deadens the sound. They work better than the $8 pair I got at home depot.I give them 5 stars. And I'm picky. For the price and the fact that they come with replacements, unlike homedepot's, they are worth it.The customer service was great too. When I messaged them about only receiving one ear plug band after ordering two along with the 20 replacement plugs, they sent me the other band and 20 plugs plus another band without question. Get them.

These work okay, but the foam is way too soft so you have to be very careful when you put them on. Otherwise the foam gets crushed out of shape and doesn't properly block your ear canal. The other version I have is made by Howard Leight and they are made of firmer material and are far superior.

I wanted to love these. The idea is perfect for me. Leave them hanging around the neck. Slip them on for a few seconds when doing a quick grind or cut.And they do work for that. Unfortunately, if you bump the headband against anything at all, it acts like an amplifier sending an explosion to your ears. Hay, these are pretty self explanatory, you shove them in your ear, and you can't hear you wife... Erm, I mean the chainsaw, or grinder, or whatever is loud in your life. I have special ear shields for firearms, but I found myself using these one time, and now I have a set in my rifle bag. They are comfortable and they stay on your neck nicely when not in use.

Hubby keeps these by the back door, never know when you need them! Work perfect for plinking!
