As with any cooler bag, it would not be correct to claim a set number of hours, as it depends on several factors: number of hours that both the bag and the 2 ice packs are left in the freezer (recommended minimum 12 hrs) / how many supplies are being carried / ambient temperature / whether the bag is kept in a dark place or exposed to sunlight, etc, etc. As indicated in the product description, this bag is suitable for short/medium trips.

You say this insulin case is fda compliant under what category is it and in the picture there is no lockable zipper mechansim so how do you lock it?
