Scatter Outdoor Game

Purchased as a gift for my daughter & son-in-law. They have a huge backyard, pool, party area, this was a hit at their last get together. Would buy again.

Looks like a fun game, but it arrived with the carrying crate busted in three places. I thought maybe I could glue it or tack it back together, but it seemed like it would quickly break again if I did. Besides, why do I have to fix something I just pulled out of a package? I don't want to say I hate it with just a single star vote because the concept looks like fun, but I am definitely disappointed.

The game is fun and more challenging than one might think. I took stars off because the container is flimsy and poorly constructed. The bottom piece arrived nearly disconnected. I have to find some small nails to secure it so that the pegs don't fall out.

Fun game for little and big a like. For little kids, its fun just to knock down the pins. For big kids, playing by the rules (i.e., adding up the pins to reach an exact number) is just hard enough to be engaging. Note: a flat surface is necessary; we played on grass and it isn't fun. And, it appears that our copy of the game didn't come with instructions. We looked them up on line easily enough. But, assuming the game manufacturer doesn't include instructions regularly, I recommend that it start. We had internet access, but could see getting annoyed in future if we forget the rules and can't look them up later.

The product is great. It's a surprisingly fun game to play. This is the second set we are purchasing as a gift. We keep ours in our car for spur of the moment game play. The only reason why I gave this 3 stars is because of the packaging. My first set arrived just fine. My second set arrived broken!! The case that it comes with is so adorable but all the panels were broken. :( Thank goodness my husband was able to drill it all back together because this is the set that is a gift. So disappointed.

I bought this as a gift for my sister for her birthday. My original order was missing the tossing rod, so we had to request a replacement set, which was shipped out quite slowly given that my original order was not complete. We really love the game and it's easy to play. Set up the numbered "skittles" in the formation provided on the instructions. One player "breaks" the skittles up by throwing an initial toss with the tossing rod. Each skittle is stood back up where it fell. Players take turns throwing the tossing rod and trying to knock down additional skittles. Each time a skittle falls it is set up where it landed before the next player tosses. If you knock down 1 skittle, you receive points based on the number on the skittle - i.e. knock down the 6 skittle and get 6 points. If you knock down more than one, you get 1 point for each skittle knocked down. First person or team to 50 wins. If you go over 50, you have to go back down to 25 and try again. Rules are simple and game is fun. We've played it several times and she's only had it two weeks. My only complaint is that the wood that the skittles/tossing rod are made of tend to get scuffed up pretty easily and get grass stains on them. It's cosmetic and doesn't affect the outcome of the game but didn't expect as much wear on them having only played a few times.

Arrived with no directions, Box was broken, had 2 number 1 pins, not sure of how to play it. Very disappointing.

This is a great family game to get the teens outside!
