Simple to assemble, simple to use
I used a spinning composter for a while and IMO this basic design (just a plastic box that is open on the bottom) is far better for most folks. The spinners take over an hour of (frustrating) time to assemble. You can put this together in 5 minutes without looking at the instructions. With the spinners, I found it almost impossible to keep the compost dry enough and you really have to search out sources of brown (leaves, cardboard, etc.). With this one? Man, I just dump food scraps in there and when I can find some browns I add them. Honestly I should add more browns than I do but it's not a disaster like it is with the spinners because it's open to the ground so it doesn't get nearly as slimy. Being open to the ground makes it pseudo-vermicomposting. Looks-wise you can just kinda hide it ninja style in the back of your yard and it's just (literally) a black box so pretty unobtrusive. It is for sure flimsy but as far as I can tell doesn't really harm the functionality. The lid sorta clicks shut but I think the odds are about 99% that eventually the plastic tabs break and then I'll just put a brick or something on top, so not a big deal but if you really want something more durable and better looking just make your own compost box out of wood probably.Btw, this is basically a copy/paste of a review for the same product sold by a different company. There seems to be several companies selling the exact same thing (you can tell from the pix easily enough). I would recommend just buying the cheapest one. I paid $25 less for this one than the other one which I bought a few months ago and they are EXACTLY the same.

Great value for price
The only reason I did not give this five stars is that as others have mentioned it could be considered "flimsy." Also it is not easy to empty and close again, unless it is completely empty. That said, I filled the first one and ordered a second one. It is not THAT flimsy unless you are a perfectionist or you sincerely need something heavy duty for whatever reason. I'm using them to compost cat litter for nine cats. I buy walnut or pine pellets with no additives. Surprisingly the full one does not smell hardly at all.My biggest issue with the design is that you do NOT want to open that bottom sliding door until you are absolutely ready to use ALL the compost because you will not get it closed again. Stuff pours out until you empty the thing.A smaller issue is that I have to keep a stone on the lid, and if you live in a plain with strong winds you will want to anchor the entire thing down until it is at least half full. That said,- it is easy to put together. It took me 10 minutes- it is cheap- it does the job- I like it. I ordered a second one.

So far, so good
I purchased this compost bin to replace a hodgepodge of wood pallets that I had L-bracketed together several years ago. So far (about six weeks), I'm happy with it.It's VERY easy to assemble (and I'm a DIY klutz). There are, however, a few things I should mention. When I first assembled it, the lid "snapped" into place. It no longer does. That doesn't really bother me, as the "snap" certainly wouldn't have been strong enough to keep critters out (e.g, raccoons, etc.). But then my former "open" compost rarely got bothered, and if those critters wanted to steal something, it may be better than given them an easy way out--and in.And actually, as for the lid, opening it to add fresh materials releases a flood of flying insects. I now actually leave it cracked a little to let them come and go.I haven't tried to use the bottom "door" to get at the compost. As I mentioned, I've only been using it a short while, so not much useable compost is likely to be there. But at this point, I like it. It's stable, easy to assemble, and, well, it's a composter--how excited can that be?

An OK Compost Bin
The media could not be loaded. This bin is ok and will get the job done. It was super easy to put together, but make sure everything snaps completely in. One corner popped open while I was turning the compost inside of it. I emptied it out & snapped the corner back in. To make sure it didn’t happen again, I got some gorilla tape and made a couple of laps clear around the bin with it. It hasn’t popped open since, at least not there. It has a bottom door or hatch that you raise to get to the compost at the bottom of the bin, which is pretty handy for cold composters, who just add stuff to the top and take compost out from the bottom. I’m having a little problem with the bottom opening, though, because it wants to pop open as well. It has little protrusions that slide into slots, and when the bin was full, and again, when I was turning compost, one side of it popped open. I guess I’m going to gorilla tape that thing too.Anyway, overall, it beats the other methods I was using for composting, and it is relatively weatherproof, so I don’t have to cover it before it rains like I do my barrel.

This bin is awesome! Big and sturdy! Withstood a hurricane and didn’t even move.

Great Compost Bin!
This compost bin is the perfect size for our homestead. We had a larger bin, but it was a bit overwhelming to deal with. This bin is easy to use and can easily be moved around our property to improve the soil. The aeration provided by the slits on the sides keeps air flowing through. I also appreciate the lid on the top to keep critters out of the bin. I simply added a piece of wood and a brick to keep the lid closed. It would be a great idea to have some sort of clasp on it, but I'm still very satisfied with this compost bin. I would recommend it to other homesteaders or gardeners.

Easy to put together, apparently sold composter
Very easy to install. Feels solid. The only suggestion I would have is to provide bottom for the composter. Or it could be easier for other animals (rat, gopher) to get in. I placed the bottom part of my old composter to shield it.
