How sturdy is the handle when cutting wood

Very sturdy. Only issue: the light green part is the blade lock. It’s in a position where your thumb tends to go to apply pressure while cutting. So you inadvertently hit the lock which allows the blade to move upward

Can addituonal Replacement blades be purchased? If so what kind and where?

Have not purchased additional blades yet, but i plan too. Saw did job for cutting around fence. My electric saw just jammed. Hope this answers your question
